(#) How to do a fresh Windows 11 installation:

1. Burn the Windows 11 ISO file on a DVD disc by using a Brun program like CDBurnerXP (http://cdburnerxp.se) or use Rufus (http://rufus.ie) to create a bootable USB Flash Drive with the Windows 11 ISO file.
2. Do a BACKUP of your important files on a separate Drive.
3. To avoid accidentally creating a Windows 11 Online Account or running into the Account bug (Other user), disconnect your Computer from the Internet before you install.
4. At the Windows 11 Setup menu select "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)".
5. Delete all the old Windows Partitions and then click on install (Be very careful to select the correct hard disk drive).

    Mr. Ram Zee U kan may B add 'Equzlizer APO' 2 yor 'releases'? = FUN FUN! =) Does 'Equalizer APO' even run on Windows 11? Not sure & will try soon, but for those of you with Windows 7 on something, I have a few interesting & helpful discoveries 2 share that will make an EXTREME IMPROVEMENT to your computer sound system, 4 FREE! =D

    When carefully configured, the 'Equalizer APO' can make an AMAZING improvement in the sound quality of ANY speaker system, but even after being out a couple DECADES the program still has a lot of bugs & counter-intuitive design problems. For example, in my experience after you save a 'preset configuration' the only way to make it active again after re-installing the program (or maybe also after switching to some other by 'magic' =) is NOT to open it within the program itself, which will just 'display' the settings but not actually USE them. Instead you must go into the program folder & (preferably) back up the existing 'config.txt' file, then COPY the preset you want into that folder & rename it as 'config.txt'. The settings should then apply immediately (while playing sounds, like even a streaming Youtube video =) I'm not sure if enabling 'Instant mode' matters but mine was set that way when this 'hack' worked =D ~>

    Also, extremely important = back up ALL your configuration files to a different folder somewhere else AND save them into a 'zip' file otherwise the program can often DELETE all your work when all U were really trying 2 do was 'reset' the fields in the program user interface instead, or when uninstalling or reinstalling there are various 'reset' options that end up doing essentially the same thing = not just resetting the program, but REMOVING your 'customizations' you had just sitting there AVAILABLE to 're-enable'. It's like 'malware / virus' level crazyness = WTF? =P

    As for external gear, using a high qality 1/8" stereo to thick dual RCA stereo as your interface between the computer's sound output & the amplifier/receiver/speakers stuff makes a GIGANTIC improvement in reduced noise = more than people may think is even possible. I guess it's to do with better 'shielding'? There's basically NO noise AT ALL this way, in contrast to when using a long 1/8" to 1/8" connector cable between the same 2 devices, in my case a natural-sounding Dell OPtiPlex 755 MT computer (with the 'happy mistake' AD1984 chip =) & a Philips HTS8100 'sound bar home theater receiver & DVD player + sub' ~>

    The attached example of my current (but ever-improving & evolving =) EQ curve for this 'sound system' using 'Equalizer APO' shows how the settings look in the bottom display window of the program & the parameters listed in the preset file I renamed to 'config.txt' so the program would actually use it (rather than only 'display' the curve, etc.) Note that I am NOT saying YOU should use these settings for YOUR system, just that they made MY system sound SOOO much more realistic =D ~>

    Your needs will B different depending on the speakers & stuff in YOUR setup, but the point is 'don't B afraid 2 add more modules'. This is maybe 'overkill' but 'works for now'. As I find something that 'pokes out' in some annoying way, I 'dial it in' by BOOSTING at different frequencies 2 find out exactly where it is, then 'notch' it out by reducing that area, then a broader 'boost'around the area to help it 'blend in' = & that's how I ended upwith a 12 band 'graphic' EQ AND 12 'peak' LOL If somebody would just port 'ReEQ I wouldn't need more than 12 or so grand total, because of it's way more intuitive & 'direct physical contro' type of design ~>

    Blue screen errors (sometimes also called black screen errors or STOP code errors) can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly. You might see a message that says "Windows was shut down to prevent damage to your computer" or a similar message.

    The problems that cause these errors can be both hardware and software. If you added new hardware to your PC before the blue screen error, turn off your PC, remove the hardware, and try restarting. If you're having trouble restarting, you can start your PC in safe mode.       @kolipoki it Could be that the Windows is installing also a driver that's not compatible with your computer hardware.
      Try to install the Up-to-Date drivers before running the Windows Update.

    Software incompatibility with Windows 11

    Some of the Software's which are causing the upgrade to Windows 11 to fail:


    1. PowerISO.

    2. Plex Media Server.

    3. FiiO USB Audio Driver

    4. My SQL server.

    5. Older Installations of Realtek Audio drivers.

    It is strongly recommended to remove these programs before trying to upgrade. In the case of drivers, remove them before trying to upgrade, and run Windows updates when the upgrade is complete

    Download Windows 11 (Current release: Windows 11 2023 Update l Version 23H2)

    Before you start

    Make sure that you have:

    An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).
    Sufficient data storage available on the computer, USB, or external drive you are downloading the ISO file to.
    A blank DVD disc with at least 8 GB of storage space (and DVD burner) to create a bootable disc. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted during installation.
    If you receive a “disc image file is too large” message while attempting to burn a DVD bootable disc from an ISO file, consider using a higher capacity Dual Layer DVD.
    Ensure that the PC you want to install Windows 11 on:

    Has a 64-bit CPU: Windows 11 can only run on 64-bit CPUs. To see if your PC has one, go to Settings > System > About, or search “System Information” in Windows and look under “System Type.”
    The Windows 11 ISO is only available for devices with x64 processors. For ARM-based PCs, you should wait until you are notified through Windows Update that the upgrade is ready for your PC.
    Meets system requirements: Not all devices running Windows 10 are eligible to receive a Windows 11 upgrade. See the Windows 11 device specifications for upgrade requirements and supported features. Certain features require additional hardware. We also recommend that you visit your PC manufacturer's website for information about updated drivers and hardware compatibility.
    WARNING: Installing Windows 11 media on a PC that does not meet the Windows 11 minimum system requirements is not recommended and may result in compatibility issues.     Installation instructions (DVD):

    Locate the folder where you downloaded the Windows 11 ISO file to.
    To use Windows Disk Image Burner to create the installation DVD, right-click on the ISO file and select Properties. Under the "General" tab, click "Change..." where it says, “Opens with:” and select Windows Explorer. Select Apply. This will enable the Burn disc image to be displayed when you right-click the ISO file.
    To use a third-party DVD burning program, you can right-click on the ISO file and select Open with.

    Installation instructions (ISO):

    If you want to install Windows 11 directly from the ISO file without using a DVD or USB flash drive, you can do so by mounting the ISO file. This will perform an upgrade of your current operating system to Windows 11.
    To mount the ISO file:
    Go to the location where you downloaded the ISO file to. Then right-click the ISO file and select Properties.
    On the "General" tab, click "Change…" where it says, “Opens with:”, and select Windows Explorer for the program you would like to use to open ISO files and select Apply.
    Right-click the ISO file and select Mount.
    This will create a “virtual” bootable disc. Double-click on it to view the files within. Double-click setup.exe to start the Windows 11 setup process.

      U R really much better off 2 permanently disable all forms of 'Windows Updating' completely, using a tool like this 'offline' B 4 U ever connect 2 the internet ~>
      Then U can (after installing & running that 2 permanently block updates) connect 2 the internet without having 2 worry about the Micro$hit OS purposely wrecking itself 2 try & generate 'Cu$tomer $upport Call$', & run the 'permanent activator' thingy from Mr. Ram Zee included with the release =)  This approach, same as me using his older version of XP 'forever' without ever 'updating' N E thing, helps U have a much more stable OS than otherwise possible with the 'movig target with constant digital poison injection'.  The demons pushing 'Windows Updates' are the same people trying 2 force ruin your bodies with (((Clot $hots))).  They R not your buddies, & it's a game of sifting tasty mushrooms from a pile of $hit.  That's not 'dirt' U R washing off when U buy them at the grocery store.  Nature is dirty, & so is the business of 'High Tech', so #WatchOut =;-o ~>

OK I'm out of 'MyPal68' & in 'Firefox 52' now & opening 'NoScript' I C U got a lot of totally unnecessary #JavaHell on this $ite, but the really absurd, 1 that U R self-sabotaging your efforts with is the 'revolvermaps.com' thing, which iSwitched off. The rest iGez R related 2 banners & spam, which nobody wants or reads. N E waze, U should remove that 'spinning globe' thing, as U R harming everything about your site with it = like #DigitalPoison. I'm happy 2 pay 4 results, & can do it in small 'modular' bites as we go, like 'fix this little thing 4 X amount, then that 'Y' thing 4 other ammount, & so on'. iPay after each little fix/mod is verified 2 work. 4 example, adding 'desktop sync' 2 the Windows XP 'shell' so no 'video tearing' in streaming web videos (as is the default in Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11 yes?) Then next tweak iWould want is 'APO' (Audio Processor Object) support in the XP sound mixer (can maybe modify 'ASIO4ALL' 2 do the same thing?) iKnow it may B expensive, so if that is the case, we (whoever can do the mods) could maybe use an 'escrow company' 2 handle the transaction so they R not worried about getting paid if it works? iCould outline specific objectives, like with an 'ASIO' plugin it 'must reliably support putting the ReEQ plugin into the Windows sound mixer 'global sound output' from the mixer ~>

    BTW: iNotice yor page here is still eating 7-20% CPU or so just sitting here, so let's C what other #JavaHell is wrecking your web site by turning off some naughty bits . . . ya OK it's sort of 'interactive' the dozen or so 'java bombs' U got on the page, but the 1 from 'Zone94' itself is OK = less than 2% CPU =)  Turned on the rest (except the stupid 'pile of random names blocking each other & the globe map out & eating CPU 2 make the site slow) garbage & the $ite is OK = under 2% CPU waste in Firefox 52 (where iDon't actually have 'ad blockers' but just 'media' type functions switched off, since JooToob wrecked things so it is slow on N E thing other than Chrome Based browsers N E waze (?) = my point here is U R harming yourself with that stupid map bull$hit.  It's not even working in a helpful way no matter how U can possibly try 2 defend it, because the map / globe itself is obscured by all the names, & the names obscure each other, so with all the bull$hit code running that bull$hit plugin eats CPU 2 do nothing at all other than harm your own web site = very strange.  Hey lot of people go out every weekend 2 poison themselves at bars with booze (or other things, even more often than that) so 'people make mistakes'.  Nothing against U so much = U made a mistake & U should fix it.  It's no big deal 2 me = just iKnow it's harming your visitors, same way it harms me = having 2 open your site in another browser because your 'globe krap' is $hitting all over my CPU eating it up so had 2 exit MyPal tab & open your BROKEN web site in Firefox 52 instead =)

    OOPS!  iNotice iPosted the WRONG info about my 'main favorite' partition arrangement.  iFound 16GB booters were a bit 2 'limiting' so they're all 32 now ~>
    For 32 Gig Boot Partition...
    64    Fat32    Spacer or 's'    FAT32    32    Delete spacer after others. (NewSpacer, etc.)
    32760    NTFS    Boot 1, 2, etc.    FAT32    4KB    Mark 'Active' (B4 New2, etc.) ~ Trying as 'FAT32' 2 C if eliminates 'LBA' problem
    525000    NTFS    Data 1 A, etc.    Fat32    4KB (4 New2, etc.) ~ NOTE: Size does not give option for 'FAT32' when formating via 'Windows Disk Managent').
    Rest    NTFS    Data 1 B    FAT32    16KB    All remaining space 13662 (4B New2, etc.)

    Note: Most of the programs iUze R 'portables' on N E of the many random '32GB Boot Partitions', & iLabel it 'Z' so all my shortcuts 2 these 'Z things' werk no matter wat booter iUze = just label them 'Z' in the 'WinDoze Di$k Manager'.  I call the partition 'Z Apps' =)  & iDo (lately) the same sort of thing with 'virtual machines = currenlty dumping them into my 500+ GB 'NTFS Cache' partition, 'koz lot of those 'virtual OS images' R bigger than 4GB so FAT32 more 'hazardous', but some VM 'players' let U split them into smaller files = I'm not an expert yet on that stuff =P  Note, these R relevant 'partition breaks' 4 all U guyz 'koz other sizes tend 2 B more 'problemattic' in matching up the 'advanced format clusters' across multiple partitions.  The others iUze sometimez R ~>

    HAY Mr. Ramsey iShooda $ed thiz LawnEggo, bot kanU plz mod 11 so kan run frum FAT32 partition? =)  iAlwaze set XP 2 do that, bot 7+ pretends '#NotPossible' = HAHAHAHA  Like #UCant make a FAT32 partition bigger than 32GB, or run multi-terabyte stuff on 'old junk' mobos (never mind the 'bit addressing haz' like 'drive overlay' boot loader thengz =))  N E waze, my point iz it'z surely doable, just as N E thing with 'code', & if some 'esoteric linking structure' is an 'obstacle' it's E Z 2 work around with some type of 'mirroring' & 'cache' arrangement 2 get essentially the same functionality, but with infinitely MORE stability AND security AND speed because running on FAT32 instead of ridiculous index hell garbage like NTFS, that takes (literally) over 10X longer 2 'chkdsk' when (not 'if') there is a 'bad shutdown' or other 'errors' = #SOLame =P

    My main PC is about 24 terabytes, across 6 drives (sometimes more) & almost all of it is FAT32.  It's not that I am 'against' bigger drives but still cheaper 2 get 'smaller' 1's, & found some that R quite reliable.  Seagate is the worst, & WD not much better than that.  iAvoid both = but yeah with freeware tools like 'FAT32Format' U kan make really big FAT32 partitions even with tiny cluster sizes, tho no point going B Lo 4KB, 'koz wat U gain in less 'slack waste' U lose in 'increased file allocation table size', generally speaking, with a mix of 'many tiny files'.  I've probably tested this more than N E 1, as I'm 'retro' like that, & it's interesting where it 'breaks', like the size limits of different cluster size & partition size combinations with FAT32, & of course the 'advanced format alignment' stuff that's necessary 2.  Interesting stuff.  Here R $um Lynx 4 y'all ~>

    = Wat kan happen iz wen U hav a 'bad shutdown' or something if U got things 'sharing clusters' or something the corruption in something that was 'open' which is 'a lesser big deal' can damage things that R 'offline' like U didn't even know were 'attached' = kind of like those horrible old digital audio recorders from Tascam that would constantly read & delete tracks while recording, then re-combine with new material & 'multiplex' it into a new single 'track' because not enough 'bandwidth' in the head design 2 keep them 'separated & secure' =P  Don't Do It!  NOOO! =;-O

    Most of my drives R formatted like this, with a 64 megabyte 'spacer' in front 2 'align' the 'advanced format clusters' so when using backup software like 'DriveImage XML' every boot partition on any drive iDo (regardless of brand or size) is EXACTLY IDENTICAL in size so totally 'modular' in terms of 'Swap & Go' convenience =)  A 2TB drive example ~>

    Sometimes (only when absolutely necessary) iWill later format a partition in NTFS if iHav big files (over 4GB) iNeed 2 put there.  Across all my 'full alphabet' of partitions, only a couple R NTFS, because it's absolute krap, but 'required' sometimes =P  Yes EXFat also werx, but lot of 'slack waste' koz forces 32 bit clusters & also won't let U access until chkdsk it if there R N E errorz =P  + on top of that not so supported by 'drive recovery softwares' if U get a #BigCrash or $umThen = so GR8 2 always BACK UP ANYTHING U WOULD H8 2 LOSE =)  iDon't use 'RAID' or N E of that = just mirror partitions, & since they're all the same set of 3 different sizes (mostly), can dump them like leggos & add 2 a text file 'map' iKeep around.  N E time a drive fails (& they do sometimes no matter how GR8 the brand or model) U can then just go 2 the 'map' & restore the 'missing partitions' 2 wherever, & U don't need 2 use 'DriveImageXML 4 that, but simple stuff like 'FastCopy' R fine ~>

    When mirroring, do it 2 an 'empty' or 'extra' space, not ever so U R in a situation with only ONE copy of something important.  In other words, if version 'A' of a partition has changed enough U want 2 overwrite version 'B' of the same partition (on some other drive), don't overwrite 'B', but mirror 'A' to some other 'no longer needed at all' partition area, so then while U R copying, even if 'A' fails, U still have 'B' around 2 'restore' from =)  Then after your backup of 'A' is done & checked 2 match sizes numbers & stuff in 'properties', U can delete 'B' from elsewhere & U still have (always) at least 2 complete copies in case 1 fails @ N E time =8^)  A disadvantage with 'RAID' or whatever is (4 example) if U hav sum kind ov 'incident' in 'the rack' or whatever, with physically separated drives over on a shelf someplace, it doesn't even matter.  U can just mirror them all 2 whatever else & U R up & running again E Z =D

    Funny how Micro$hit doesn't even list everything they make N E where with a convenient simple, quick & E Z 'grid spread sheet' type 'table' so we can easily compare them all =P  Like they say (if U dig into it) that Windows 7 'Enterprise' has a bit more features than 'Ultimate', but when trying out the 'Zyzoom / Xpristo' thing noticed wouldn't 'auto-license' the 'Enterprised' & had 2 do with 'KMS', which seems 'flakey', as their 'Ultimate' version frum B 4 is very stable so 'Y try 2 fix what ain't broke', + iDoubt there R N E 'important programs' that 'DEMAND' 'Enterprise' version 2 run instead of OK with 'Ultimate' = so pointless 2 get 'Enterprise iGez.  The only function of N E Micro$hit OS past XP is just 'program compatibility.  All the 'feature set' & 'interface' is infinitely worse.  The couple exceptions R 'APO' (sound mixer plugin support) & 'Desktop Sync' (avoids video tearing).  Everything else about it is absolute $hit, & Windows 11 is even WORSE!  But thanx 4 posting them so we have something 2 'run in the background' 2 get those 3'rd party 'programs' we actually want 2 try working =)

      @kolipoki Rufus does actually work, unlike most 'bootable USB windows installer' tools, but annoying how they pretend FAT32 can't support partitions larger than 32 gigs or whatever =P  As if they don't know what a lie that is = come on =;-o  NTFS is way slower & unstable compared 2 FAT32 is Y it's better 2 do everything inFAT32, preferably with 4KB clusters so less 'slack waste'.
