    Hello dear Ramsey
    Downloading a program for Windows XP in 2020 is not easy because most programs are obsolete.
    Please add "ReactOS Applications Manager" to WinXP-IE
    This program works and will be constantly updated.
    Also, the ReactOS project is free and there are no worries about licensing.
    Thanks <3

      @Muhammadhussein Ammari First off, I think Ramsey already knows about ReactOS as this was already discussed before. Second, while it's true that most software no longer supports WinXP, there is always an alternatives around the corner that still works on WinXP or just use the last compatible version of said software even if it's outdated. Third, most likely the primary reason for WinXP-IE is for computers that doesn't work well or no longer supported by Win10 as well as for nostalgic purpose or those that don't like newer Windows as additional reason. Using ReactOS Application Manager may turn it into a Frankenstein OS according to Ramsey's classification, although that depends on his decision. Fourthly, while it's true that ReactOS Application Manager is an great software, the last time I used it was rather buggy with some programs crashing or freezing a few times. While that was years ago, judging by how slow the project's development is going, I don't think much has changed.

      Haha... Never had my comment in a screenshot before.
      It kinda seems like the server is down or something. And if the server is down, it may have been discontinued, maybe?

      @Ramsey I recommend taking the latest rapps.exe from the latest reactos dev build. It's supposed to be located in system32 folder, iirc.

      As much as the ReactOS Application Manager is the closest to linux app managers, the only downside is that some of the programs included are made solely for ReactOS, and I'm not aware of excluding these entries and only including general applications.

      I would never add stuff that would turn an normal OS into a Frankenstein OS.

      @Ramsey
      Ok, I understand... some could be placebo/unstable for the registry. Some users got positive results from TCP Optimizer but there, again, there are rare cases of uses. From what I saw, most games uses UDP nowadays.

      Also, per your comments:

      1. Compared to PotPlayer, VLC is Open Source & Community driven. Everytime these ones are the better choice.
      2. LockHunter, per this test, was unable to delete the file (even after reboot). Instead, IObit Unlocker was the only one able to delete it, without a reboot.
      3. Compared to ImDisk, WinCDEmu is the community's favorite ISO app, and it's straight. Again, Open Source.
      4. HashCheck is discontinued. QuickHash is Open Source & Updated.

      Should you add BleachBit - CCleaner's alternative, Open Source?

      Rei · 4 years ago
      @Ramsey LOL! What would your definition of Frankenstein OS be?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Rei · 4 years ago
      @ArminC
      1. It's not about the open source-ness. PotPlayer is still freeware & has more features than VLC. I use K-Lite Codec Pack though.
      2. While I haven't tried LockHunter, IObit Unlocker is a good alternative to Unlocker. I still use Unlocker though even it is no longer developed.
      3 & 4. I don't use these so, no comment.
      5. Same point as point 1.
      Regardless, If you prefer these alternatives, then you can install them yourself & not use the ones that came with Intergral Edition.

      ArminC · 4 years ago
      @Rei Yeah, I get it. It's most about the personal opinion & choice. But for the most points, the open source it's just one of the reasons, though.

      As I'm aware, there is no type of app inside this package as 5. The only point where the preference comes (only) would be 1. and maybe 3.

      @ArminC
      Its bétter to not include this Optimizer tools or Tuning tools they do anything except problems if you start using more complex programs.

      1. PotPlayer has a lot more option than VLC and can use better filters.
      2. Good find. I will replaced LockHunter with IObit Unlocker in the next release.
      3. WinCDEmu can only mount Disc image files but ImDisk can also mount hard drive image files and floppy image files, and can also create ramdisks.
      4. I will have to think about QuickHash i find HashCheck good because it is not a separate tool.
      5. BleachBit would be too big to include. Their is only 10 MB left or else the ISO will not fit on a 700 MB Disc.

      @Grissa You're just like that other guy who keeps nagging for updates. If you don't know how software releasing updates works, then this is not the place for you. Ramsey mentioned that the next update is on 11 April, which I think is too soon after the current update, so wait for then. And if you're still impatient, then just use the one current one now. Besides you mentioned in the other board that you're gonna install Win10 anyway. Stop spamming for updates.

    Thanks Ramsey. Latest version of Integral seems to have gone amiss causing few issues for me too.

    A vanilla unattended set up version as before is the best way to go for the user and only having to choose whether or not to tick the software choices etc rather than specific patches.

    I had to revert back to last year version of Integral so it works with my bios and drivers are installed properly.

    Also I was getting 'not 32 bit application' errors after downloading using Basilisk browser. I tried Firefox and that was the same. For some reason even after downloading 32 bit installers Integral does not recognise them as such. Does not happen with all 32 bit programs, but I downloaded some VSO software trials which support said are all still xp compatible, but Integral throws up error when trying to install.

      @Jacko On the VSO website is says that the software requires Windows 10/8.1/8/7 (32-bit/64-bit).

      @Ramsey I said the same thing to VSO support and was told that they still supported xp in all products? If you look closely they still give recommended ram needed to use it in xp at foot of their products, yet xp is not written as an operating systemsystem perse.

      I raised the same point you say now. Time to abandon their very buggy products as vso appears to be run by dummies in support! Thanks Ramsey. Confirmed not an Integral problem.

    Hi Ramsey
    I checked out the beta release you linked to and and noticed you switched back to the original ACPI driver
    I was just wondering if you had run into any problems or errors with the modded ACPI driver?

      @Logicon Read the tutorial on how to do a Windows XP USB Flash installation. Rufus is not the way to go for Windows NT5.

    Existe una versión en español?

      @Dany Bagala EN: There's no Spanish version available, but you can use the unofficial SP4 MUI (Multilingual User Interface) Pack post-install to fully translate the Windows install from English to whatever the language you want (in your case: Spanish).
      ES (via deepl): No hay una versión en español disponible, pero puedes usar el paquete no oficial SP4 MUI (Multilingual User Interface) Pack post-instalación para traducir completamente la instalación de Windows del inglés al idioma que quieras (en tu caso: español).

      @marcel Yea it was a bad idea to integrate the ACPI Patch. I will add a Optional Patch Integrator script for the April release.
