    Ramsey,

    Have you had any reports of problems with the PAE patch?  And could you  identify which PAE patch you're using here, Russian, Chinese, or another named one...I'd like to check it out further.

      @lenovo w541 I think u need either windows vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1 from a minor search i made W Lenovo series were released back in...ancient 2008...
      Also try a linux distro mostly an Ubuntu Variant , most probably lubuntu it is extremely lightweight.
      If u choose lubuntu u may avoid the headache of searching for drivers.

      And you may cross your fingers it installs properly through an external DVD or CD Player.

      @lenovo w541 Ramsey seems to b doing a hard and good work refurbishing a good version of windows the very mid 1990s unification of windows 16 32 bit for home users only with meant by pros for pros windows NT i do not have a clue whether he has time to find especially hand made drivers or obsolete support software for an old machine like yours but he deserves credit no doubt...u never know keep asking , merry christmas and a happy new year.

      Frankly Windows XP SP3 and so called Delta editions is nearly legendary  with Windows 7 hardly catching up , ReactOS a free project is also inspired by this Windows NT 2000 Architecture...

      @jbingfaii W541 was released around 2015 according to reddit, so not thaat old, if I had a car that age that wasnt financed, it'd be new in my eyes :D

      Anyway '56abckor' option worked! did freeze couple of times during setup and freezes when 'windows is shutting down' but other than that seems to work fine and I can live with that

      I needed specifically Windows XP for car diagnostic programs, etc..
       I had windows 11 on this laptop and it was awful.. could not even play video through hdmi.. or if the video would play there'd be no sound.. or every time after sleeping it owuld fail to resume/would sorta freeze.. Now I have win 7 with original activation key and win xp and its beautiful and so much quicker.. Havent tried ramseys edits of the higher windows though as I only discovered about his work when looking how to make XP work on this lappy..

      anyway many thanks for responding, I think Im sorted now and hope this helps someone else (fingers crossed)

      @lenovo w541 Well no offense i told ya i checked about the W series since the first date of release man!

      I am no lenovo exec , good thing it worked , yet i guess what i wrote seems to be the case u needed at least Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1 , lenovos can be eccentric with exception after 3 to 5 years of working , glad u made it happen , congrats :)

      When it comes to cars u need a specific version of windows and also drivers maybe , i had to prepare a windows 98 SE edition for a guy checking on cars almost the way you do , needs care , took me over 16 hours to make this happen...Talking like before babylon was built like 2010 or so...And yes for things to work it was done with Windows 98 SE...In part it was pure dumb luck...6 am in the morning...I will never forget the sunrise...

      I had to work on the registry and also see each and every update it was oh my god...And then the endless fracking reboots...And see if it works...I mean jesus.

      Makes 2010 feeling quite ancient...

    Report a bug. For the image dated November 29, 2024, when using WinNTSetup to install it via PE in VMware and then restarting the system, an error will be reported when it reaches 99%. The error message is "setup cannot copy the file ie4uinit.mui". There are also the same errors for files like IEDKCS32.MUI, IEFRAME.MUI, MSHTA.MUI, MSRATING.MUI. This problem can be reproduced 100%. However, there is no such issue when directly loading the ISO in VMware without using PE for installation. After testing, the version dated June 6, 2024 has no problem with the same installation steps. I hope this bug can be fixed as soon as possible. I'm used to using WinNTSetup to install the operating system.

    The pictures of the bug are attached. A total of 5 files all prompt this error, namely ie4uinit.mui, IEDKCS32.MUI, IEFRAME.MUI, MSHTA.MUI, MSRATING.MUI. The MD5 check of the image file dated November 29, 2024 shows no abnormalities, and the image is not damaged.

      @qwedsazxcce That's a bit strange because nothing has really changes that could trigger such a problem. Make sure your USB Flash drive has no bad sectors.

      @Ramsey I didn't use a USB flash drive. I downloaded it to the hard disk, decompressed it and then copied it to the virtual machine. And I verified the hash value and found that it wasn't damaged. There are two devices, one desktop computer and one laptop. The problem can be 100% reproduced following the steps I described. The version number of VMware is 17.5.2.
      Look at the places marked with red lines by me. The CRC32 checksum of the original compressed package is the same as that of the system image within the virtual machine.

      @qwedsazxcce In the last 2 versions I fixed something what I thought was a bug, but it was actually a workaround. To undo this simply UnZip the files below in the ISO/Disc folder ".\I386" with a Zip-Archive program like 7-Zip and you can also delete this "*.mu_" files after extracting:
      ie4uinit.mu_
      iedkcs32.mu_
      ieframe.mu_
      mshta.mu_
      msrating.mu_
      sqmapi.dl_

      And to fix the DirverPacks BASE bug, open the ".\I386\dosnet.inf" file with a text editor and add the text lines below under the "d1,msjtes45.dll" line:
      d1,setuporg.exe
      d1,presetup.cmd

      @Ramsey Following the operations you mentioned, there are no error messages in the first stage now. However, error messages will still pop up when restarting and entering the official installation interface of Windows XP. These problems didn't exist in the version of June 6th, 2024.

      @Ramsey Thank you for correcting the errors. After testing, it's completely normal to use WinNTSetup for installation under the new test version of PE.

    i need driver for intel hd4600 (i7-4790 with z97x killer) .please help me. The gt2 driver not working(blue screnn with:page fault in nonpaged area).what can i do?

      @xprimo First try, disable Onboard-HDMI-HD-Audio in BIOS.

      Or try following Intel Haswell HD Graphics driver for Win-XP-32-64, (it is with Asus-B85M-E, works with i7-4790).
      Readme_English.txt says, "Before installing the graphics driver, ensure that your system runs with .NET Framework 3.0/3.5."
      https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/vga/Intel_Graphics_WinXP_V614105449.zip
      (55MB, 2015/08/14)

      Or if problems repeat, then plug only external GPU with Win-XP support, (my favorite is GT730), as main GPU, then try to install Intel-HD.

      Or HDMI-EDID-adapter may help.

    It is KB2920188-v7
    And found a mysterious update for Windows XP that Microsoft never released (ฺBeta)
    What is Enhanced Storage?
    found it in Betaarchive.org

      @MilkChan The IMAPI (KB952011) and SmartCard (KB952013) update are already included.
      The EnhancedStorage (KB952012) üpdate looks like it's also for Windows XP and should add support for the IEEE 1667 protocol to add a password or certificate to limit access to a storage device. But didn't find any options on how do it after installation that update. https://gofile.io/d/4Q3tn0

      Windows 7 has already TPM build-in, this Windows 7 update KB2920188 will only update the existing TPM 1.2 to TPM 2.0.

    Hi Ramsey, I have a Thai person who tried to install Windows XP on a MSI brand motherboard
    MSI A320m-a pro model
    But the problem is after installing the sound driver, it gives a strange BSOD
    which is not related to the sound file
    I wonder what is this BSOD

      @MilkChan Does this also happen with standard Windows XP SP3?

      @Ramsey Yes, mine is the standard version, which I don't know exactly how it happened.
      Yours has problems too.

    Ramsey, could you please share your opinion about this? Is it viable, could it be used with WinXP-IE?

    I was attempting to install Windows XP Integral Edition on a Dell Dimension 2400 and I seem to be having visual driver issues. The only resolution option is the lowest possible and it only shows 16 bit color options. I have a modern monitor connected  capable of 1080 HD, so it isn't an issue of the connection. I previously had a standard XP on there that was outputting in HD, so I know the computer is capable of it as well. Any info is appreciated!

    I came to thank you for your work.
    I saw how important KB888111
    is in modern motherboards for sound issues and
    I updated UpdatePacks XP/2003/x64 again and now just waiting for the new version of XP2ESD to be released.
    With this update I barely had to do anything with Server 2003. Microsoft keeps the files in Driver.CAB and SP2.CAB.
    And I fixed the file line issue in NT5.2.

      @MilkChan
      After I added this, the complaints about the audio issues decreased. I think the problem is with some SP2 audio drivers that have not been updated for SP3. Here is what I use in the UpdatePack for KB888111.

      .\SVCPACK\kb888111wxpsp2.cat

      [dosnet_files]
      d1,hdaprop.dll
      d1,hdashcut.exe
      d1,hdaudio.inf
      d1,hdaudio.sys
      d1,hdaudres.dll

      [txtsetup_files]
      hdaprop.dll = 100,,,,,,,2,0,0
      hdashcut.exe = 100,,,,,,,2,0,0
      hdaudio.inf = 100,,,,,,,20,0,0
      hdaudio.sys = 100,,,,,,,4,0,0
      hdaudres.dll = 100,,,,,,,2,0,0

      [FileMove]
      hdaprop.dll,driver\hdaprop.dll
      hdashcut.exe,driver\hdashcut.exe
      hdaudio.sys,driver\hdaudio.sys
      hdaudres.dll,driver\hdaudres.dll

      @Goro Akechi The main point of this WinXP-IE is to run it on older computers or in Virtual Machine for runnning older programs.
