    @Ramsey
If you don't have any further beta builds to test, I suppose you can delay the new modern release and release just the one with the updated apps and libraries.
Like I said earlier, if you don't mind getting infuscomus to help you with that thing, tell me so.

@Guest16346 I'm still waiting on daniel_k to posts his updated files on MyDigitalLife because the test build is okay but the modified files have still a few problems.
And about the Generic SATA you posted is this a modified version of the uni_ata driver?
      http://alter.org.ua/soft/win/uni_ata
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Guest16346 · 4 years ago
@Ramsey nope, that sata driver was a backport from one of Windows 8's DDKs (can't remember if it was from the release DDK or the pre-release ones, you'd have to ask skulltrail/skullteria about it).
I'm aware of the existence of the UniATA driver since it's also used in the ReactOS project (i assume it's a custom build than the one that alter offers) but it's more inferior compared to the backported storahci driver + isn't truly PnP(WDM) compliant.

      Ramsey · 4 years ago
@Guest16346 What experience did you have with the DDK Generic SATA driver? Did you run into any problems with this one compare to the DriverPacks BASE?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Guest16346 · 4 years ago
@Ramsey Well I personally haven't tried it because I don't have any spare real hardware to test it and I assume that we already figured it out that it worked with the virtual machines at least.
As of my friend's tests and the driver itself in it's suitable environment (like WinXP Pro x64), it actually worked nice for a generic driver and had nice results when benchmarking the SSD. https://imgur.com/a/qdAnkt7

Also neither me or my friend haven't tried the driverpack way yet. Would you be able to make a new build with that instead of separately integrating the drivers and providing the svf difference patch containing differences between the build that you mailed me and the one that will be made? This way there would be no need to waste extra bandwidth for not-so-small-but-nevertheless changes.

      Ramsey · 4 years ago
@Guest16346 If your friend had a good experience with the DDK Generic SATA driver then i think i can remove the DriverPacks BASE and only add the DDK Generic SATA driver.
I send you a link in an hour too a test build with the NVMe v1.3 driver, this seems to be better backward compatible than version 1.5 which is included in the first test build.

@Ramsey Just keep in mind that the screenshots and tests are from the XP Pro x64 install, which is based on the NT 5.2 kernel, so the driver's "natural habitat", not from XP Integral Edition.
I'll let him know about the new build.

    I find a modded logon-screen (logonui.exe)
You can use it. (file attached).

    How to use it?
Extract the attached zip file. Then you see LOGONUI.EX_
Change EX_ extension to CAB and extract it to system32 (for testing)
or Copy it to isoFile\I386 folder

Hello, I have a strange problem, I have the settings made for share admin $ but after a restart all the settings are deleted or return to default. What can I do to stop it?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 4 years ago
@Alex The Custom Settings will disable this for security reasons, to avoid people connecting from the internet to this folder if you don't have set a password on your Windows Admin Account.
You can share the "C:\" (Drive) or "C:\WINDOWS" (Folder) manually by right click on it and clicking "Properties". And to re-enable again the Auto Share for those folders, simply search in the registry for "AutoShareWk" (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters) and change the value from "0" to "1" and restart your Computer.

FYI a new version of PotPlayer has been released (Version 200206; 1.7.21126.0). The new version apparently still supports XP.
    For the other apps news:
    * VC2019 redist has been updated 4 days after compiling the latest IE release (now is 14.25.28508.3). Abbodi has reflected that in his Visual C++ AiO redist.
    * New Basilisk/UXP build https://msfn.org/board/topic/180462-my-browser-builds-part-2/page/65/?tab=comments#comment-1178041 (2020-02-22)

@Guest16346 I wanted to replace Unlocked with LockHunter, but i found a bug in it. I submitted the bug to LockHunter but they still haven't fixed it. That's why I'm still holding back the new version.

      @Ramsey Aight, take your time.

By the way, are you going to consider transplantating the storport.sys file from Server 2003, since it is confirmed compatible with XP & might be useful when adding the generic storahci & community ofa nvme driver (that requires hotfix version 5.2.3790.4173 or later) in place of the SATA/AHCI driverpack, thus will serve as 2 drivers for both SATA/AHCI and NVME interfaces (the problem is that if we get rid of the mass storage drivers, we'd also get rid of the non-AHCI drivers by side-effect, so one has to spend time slimming the pack containing only non-AHCI mass storage drivers).

Cutting to the chase here's the latest version of storport.sys (5.2.3790.4485; KB957910) according to this (https://www.anonymz.com/?https://www.aidinit.com/2012/05/storport-sys-pre-service-pack-3-revision-history-for-windows-server-2003-sp2-and-windows-small-business-server-2003-sp2-sbs-2003/): https://anonfile.com/f5Ycscd8o0/storport_sys

Here's also a short guide from daniel_k on making the setup recognize the addition:

@Guest16346 What about the diskdump.sys file in the KB957910 update? And do this Generic SATA/AHCI + NVMe drivers now also really work? Because last i time tested it i had no luck with it on VirtualBox.

@Ramsey >What about the diskdump.sys file in the KB957910 update?
Shouldn't be required afaik and shouldn't storport.sys conflict with diskdump's NT 5.1 counterpart, at least according to Dietmar.

My friend has tested both of these drivers, albeit with the KB943545 version of the driver (5.2.3790.4173) and with XP64, which is basically clientified Server 2003 SP1/SP2 x64, but nevertheless the drivers themselves have worked, but anyway tests should be made in XP. (About VBox, try checking with the latest version from the 6.x branch and the latest from 5.x branch, so as to rule out any problems with the VM software itself)

BTW if you're going to offer a testing iso for that, If you don't want to upload yet another full-sized ISO for testing purposes, I suppose a smartversion difference file would suffice to save space. If you want, i'll send you a guide of making them.

@Guest16346 Is the "storport.sys" only needed for the NVMe driver or also for the Generic SATA driver? And what are the original links to this Drivers?

@Ramsey >Is the "storport.sys" only needed for the NVMe driver or also for the Generic SATA driver?
Both of them are based on the storport.sys storage port driver, so.
Original link for the NVME driver: http://reboot.pro/topic/21812-community-ofa-nvme-15-storport-miniport-for-windows-server-2003-r2-sp2/ (txtsetup.oem by dietmar in post no. 15; Comparing the anonfile pack to the original pack i've slimmed it down to contain the necessary x86 files & the txtsetup.oem)

As of the Generic SATA driver it has been circulated way enough in the "Windows XP on Modern Hardware" thread at Win-Raid that it might be hard to locate the truest latest version.
This is where I took the what-is-supposed-to-be-latest-according-to-Dietmar driver: https://www.win-raid.com/t4035f45-Windows-XP-Bit-and-Server-Bit-on-Modern-Hardware-63.html#msg81781 (storahcitxtsetup.rar)
Comparing to the original package the anonfile package only has the contents of the x86 folder + the storport.sys included was redundant if you're going to slipstream that file with the more latest than that via the guide by daniel_k. The .reg file in the root seems to also be not needed at all.

P.S. For SSD users the Generic SATA driver seems to not support TRIM at least for the AHCI controller from the Z170 Pro4S mobo of my friend's, so users of that mobo might have to install either the modified intel rst 11.2.0.1006 drivers that fernando offers (which doesn't rely on storport but scsiport iirc) or one of daniel_k's modified RSTe ahci drivers post-install by themselves (daniel_k's driver rely on storport; iirc he's moving his work to mydigitallife since he can't offer the drivers that have modified .sys files anymore in win-raid)

Hello, "Geek XP" Combining Tablet PC and Media Center Edition.

Are you have any plan to add "Geek XP" features to Integral Edition?

@Muhammadhussein Ammari There are better options out their then Windows Media Center. And Windows Media Center also has been discontinued by Microsoft for years.

I do not insist on adding WMC but please add Tablet PC features if possible.

@Muhammadhussein Ammari Adding Windows Media Center would be like adding MSN back into Windows XP. :)
And the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition was mainly designed for Digitizer Pen Input. The Touch input was very primitive. It was a superset of Windows XP and was initially only available as an OEM Pre-installed option. It was not included in the retail version of Windows XP until Service Pack 2 was released.

@Muhammadhussein Ammari Everything can be done with DOS in Windows XP. Powershell is more for Windows Vista/7/8/10.

@Ramsey Powershell can run .ps1 scripts (but command prompt run .bat scripts) ;)

@Muhammadhussein Ammari Only IT Professionals need this. And if you an IT Professionals then you will also know how to do, almost everything in Windows XP in DOS. The whole Integral Edition process is done in DOS to keep it simple. And it would not be a good idea to waste the last free Megabits on the Disk which could be used later for something more impotent.

@Muhammadhussein Ammari IMO it should stay as an optional choice, since an average user most likely would use cmd because it's way more familiar for him than PS, whereas if a person is more used to the powershell ecosystem or his applications/utilities require it (chocolately for example, but does it still support Powershell 2.0 and thus XP?), then he can install it manually by himself.

If I do recall correctly Windows Update still offers Powershell 2.0 as one of the optional updates, so here's an easier way out.

    Dear @ramsey

I have been using your XP versions for years.
Will you please make your future edition which can be installed on eMachine desktop?
Mine is eNachine E1210, which always ends up with BSOD
I had tried many ways by integrating chipset drivers.

    no luck

@Santhosh Kumar PK What's the exact machine model and its exact specifications?
What BSOD does it show on the computer and when does it show? (STOP Code and all that information).
