the screenshot description on 1337x site reminds me of what Thumper used to load, it was always a very complete Windows 10 or 11 about 3 years ago. Has anyone seen Generation2 downloads? Someone suggested he died last year. Thank you for the awesome work here!

@TruthTrumpsALL47 Over the past 10+ yeras I saw so many people doing this by simply throwing in a few updates into tools like "W10MUI.cmd" or "nLite/NTLite" and after a while, they gone to never to be seen again. 😅

I have to say that this is the best Windows 11 ISO I've ever tried so far. No need to install game dependencies. And all I needed to install was the GPU drivers. I'm currently running it now on my main PC with Atlas OS playbook optimizations, and it's so responsive. No issues I've encountered till now.

@Delatom In my experience to be able to install and run StarCitizen and Elite Dangerous, both did require few additional distributions (.net & others) but other than that, i agree this is the best Win 11 iso ever.
As for Atlas OS, what options did you choose in the wizard - what did you disable?

Ramsey, do you still have your Windows 11 RTM Integral Edition ISO image? I'd like to test something.

      Ramsey · 1 months ago
@infuscomus In the "Integral Edition" you can uninstall the updates and then it will revert back to an RTM version.
Here can also create a RTM version on the fly https://uupdump.net

Integral Edition, hehehehe .... look in process explorer what all is running behind users back in the system background .... 125 processes, 1/3 of them not needed, others needed only on demand but running ,Edge is running by default in background, widgets are running also, drive etc.. this OS needs to be cleaned up big time ! GPO, registry and System ! Seems to me, moder isn't doing his job as described/claimed above ! And why to mimic copy god damn Android like application start menu ? New doesn't mean it is automatically better or ? Clastic start menu is the most transparent one, all the app on the user eyes. MS as always developing more and more crap.

yes, windows is crap, a big pile of horse manure. but that's not the modder's fault.
i am using windows only as a steam launcher, exclusively for gaming.
for everything else like work, procrastination, jerking off etc i use linux.

don't use crappy os for things you don't have to. gaming is so far the only use case for windows, nothing else. literally, nothing.

so i am thankful to Ramsey for making these steam launcher releases, he does a good job.

@shlomo shekelberg Using any form of Windows 4 running steam is absurd, as it runs on Linux by default (??)  There R also many OSes that run Steam better than Windows ever did or ever will, including Nobara, Bazzite, Chimera & others.  There R some rare exceptions like 'multi-player deliberately crippled' titles, but overall Linux is better 4 $team gaming & lots of Youtube videos all about it.  The ONLY reason 2 ever use Windows is simply as a compatibility layer 4 software.  Everything about it is $hit, & keeps getting worse.  XP is the last thing I can stand.  Even 7 is such a wreck = every day finding new sabotage thrown in there, like trying 2 streamline the boot drive 2day & find out the thing is trying 2 lock me out of being able 2 delete my own files on my own operating system partition no matter wat iDo or wat 'tutorials' iFollow.

Thankfully XP can run on FAT32 so U R not ATTACKED by a bazillion levels of bull$hit 'permissions' on every file OMG LOL  Also looked into the different 'modded' XPs other than the Zone94 thins & they won't even install = they R literaly TROLLING us with all this $hit, like 'Niko' is missing the 'EULA' file so won't set up, & the others R not even installers, & Shorthorn & the others = nothing is just a simple 'click & go' = but instead it's a 'bragging rights' group where they PRETEND 2 make something useful, but really only 4 themselves & 2 deliberately sabotage everybody else who tries, so they can sit back in sadistic glee saying "WERX 4 MEEEE! HAHAHA ZUX 2 B UUUU!" =))

@Dood McMan That's not correct. Yes, Steam itself does indeed run on linux natively, but that's not true for all games. Speaking of games in my library - some run natively on linux, some run via proton/wine, but some don't run at all. Doom Eternal for example.

      Generally speaking:
games which have OpenGL or Vulcan base/version do run natively
games which use older versions of DirectX do usually (not always) run via proton
games which use latest DirectX don't run at all.

So, on linux i can run like 70% of my steam library, while in windows i can run 100%.

That's why i use windows as a steam launcher. Another reason is that i use btrfs snapshots a lot and I don't want many niggabytes of games in those.

You say you are using windows as compatibility layer for software. Well, maybe try to find a linux version or alternative of your sw. Or meddle with wine. For example, i am using photoshop 2024 (portable) on linux via wine and it works well (altough with gpu acceleration must be disabled).

Or, if you really need windows, just install win11 in virtualbox and use your sw there. And when they fuck you up, you can just restore snapshot.

@shlomo shekelberg Steam runs on Valve, which is Linux ~>
Then U do fallacy of 'equivocation' pretending iAm mistaken, as if we were talking about 'ALL' games, 'globally', which is not true, because iWas responding 2 yor comment that (U wrote this): "i am using windows only as a steam launcher, exclusively for gaming."
= If U R only running Steam, & 'steam is Linux', then 2 run Steam games U only need Linux ($team =)  U can play 'moving target' 4ever but iAm here 2 help solve problems.  Next U will play 'wat about (insert irrelevant tangent here) tho?' = LOL!! =))

Instead of your silly rabbit hole of lies 'moving the goal posts' how about U answer some helpful questions =)  iAm not a gamer nor do iHave N E interest in 'gaming' really, other than 'curiosity'.  I'm not a 'player.  Tell me please about any of the 'gaming' OSes you have used, including Nobara, Bazzite, Chimera, & Garuda.  Nobara & Bazzite R based on Fedora, whereas Chimera is BSD & stuff, & Garuda is Arch, but seems like a troll $cam = very anti-user attitude.  Chimera seems like it may be the best place to start for an 'ideal' OS as it uses both BSD & Linux 2gether, so maybe slapping on some 'hypervisor' stuff can ALSO run Apple apps as Mac OS is BSD-based & Windows runs easily in virtual machines & 'containers' & stuff, like how 'Virtual PC' runs 'DOS-based' compatibility layers in Windows XP (NT-based) stuff onward, etc.  When U R running a 'Windows '98' style app in Windows 10 or something, it's still running in 'Virtual PC' in the background? ~>
More ideas on how 2 do this ~>
U can reach me at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com'.

      @Dood McMan
Steam and SteamOS are two different things.
your claim "Steam is linux" is a lie.

SteamOS Arch linux with Steam & Proton preinstalled. Steam is a program which is windows native and on linux even SteamOS runs through wine. yet it cannot run 100% Steam games. i know it, you can try by yourself. btw SteamOS is no different than any other linux with Steam installed.

unfortunately, only windows can run 100% steam games (because of the directx and others like dotnet).
that's why i use it as a steam launcher as i said. if i could run all games on linux, i would not use windows at all, i could just have SteamOS in dual boot instead of windows. but that's not the case. you say you are not a gamer, but you think you know better than me? :) awkward.

about gaming and your "gaming" OSes. well, thing is. games are just programs like any others. and these programs do use things like "system calls" or "libraries". and here is the problem. different platforms have these implemented differently. so, for particular platforms you have to compile it's own binary from source codes. that is not a problem in case of open sourced libraries & prog. languages
but as it goes with microsoft, their things are proprietary, closed source. DirectX, C#, Dotnet.... and that means it's legally and technically not possible to compile them for other platforms.

but there is Wine. Wine is reverse-engineered compat layer which translates windows system calls to linux (or bsd) system calls. this way, MS proprietary licenses are not violated as no part of them is used. it's  sort of "mimicking windows" or "mimicking directx", which is imperfect and does not work every time, with every program/game. it also has quite a drag, like when a new version of directx comes out, it takes time for Wine developers to reverse-engineer it.

now back to steam. if particular game has OpenGL/Vulcan version, it runs on linux well. but if it is DirectX only, it has to use wine. which may or may not work. and Steam has ProtonDB for that, which is literally just a collection/database of Wine versions & settings.

and those "gaming OSes" you googled up, they ALL use Wine, just like Steam+Proton.

so still, Steam@Windows runs 100% games without meddling with different wine versions & settings. it just works and that is the only thing windows are useful. a steam launcher.

@Ramsey First, thank you very much for your work and sharing the content. I just wanted to report an issue I've seen. I'm not able to download the latest W11 iso. uTorrent shows 0% Downloaded. I downloaded the ISO from GoFile without problems. Then I logged to 1337x and I found the link to the same "Windows 11 23H2.3447 ... Integral Edition".  (uploaded by Outbraker).

Note: The files report different MD5. The one on this website seems to have problems to be downloaded.

@Ramsey The Customization of this build effects the Geo-location services. Which can be a good thing, when you need to use mock locations. However in this build it Ties the location to Oklahoma City, and the Weather app to The District.

Hello, 2 years ago I installed on domain PC Windows 10 Integral edition. Now I have problem, when new user logins on that PC, there is on Edge/Firefox/Chrome, etc. start page Zone26.com

The user complained about this and I had luck, he wasnt calling my boss.
Even it exists possibility, that boss would one time login on that PC and then he will be asking questions.

I even used string search/replace, there were few files, but it did not solve my issue.

Please tell me, how / where can I replace Zone62 with google, that new domain users wont make me troubles. If not, I am forced to format PC and reinstall lots of appz and will have at least 10 hours of work...

@Greg Every user can change the Start Page in the Browser settings menu.
And if you are deploying this on multiple computers then you can set you own preconfigured Start Page.
      Description:
      * To set you own preconfigured borwser start page, simply edit the files "initial_preferences" and "firefox.cfg" with a text editor in the ISO/Disc folder ".\sources\$OEM$" or in the Hard Disk Drive folder "C:\Program Files" and "C:\Program Files (x86)".

I also searched all files on SSD drive including hidden and system...

@Greg Double BTW: Format boot partitions with 4KB cluster size (on FAT32 =)  Going smaller WASTES space by bloating the 'File Allocation Table' with more 'addresses', & going the other direction WASTES more space as 'slack' beause using a minimum of whatever that cluster size is even if the file size is smaller.  The ideal for a booter is 4KB, compared 2 2K or 8K or outside of those, etc.  I've tested all this stuff extensively, like running FAT32 on multi-terabytes, & even on old 'unsupported' hardware (can use 'drive overlay software' 2 use a higher bit driver even if the OS itself can't C it on boot).
