Installed via WinSetupFromUSB as per instructions, but am getting a Fatal Error at the XP System Setup portion of the install. Specifically - "SXS.DLL: Assembly Under D:\WINSETUP\XPPSP3\I386\asms\1 could not be installed because manifest is missing". Now I'm stuck in a loop. What could've went wrong? Any help is appreciated

Try a different USB Flash driver.
You could also try to do a full formation of the USB Flash driver.

I think even Mac should have an option to format your USB Flash drive with NTFS.
You should also consider using Windows 10 if you have more than 2 GHz and 2 GB of RAM.

That is due to WinXP lacking web technologies used by modern internet. Upgrade to Win10 to access those sites.
Otherwise, if it's really region-blocked, use VPN or DNS-over-HTTPS.

    Hi Ramsey,

It apparently can create an installable WIM image of XP and allows you to use the Windows 7/10 preinstall environment to install that XP WIM image.

Panda antivirus is annoying in terms of, if you disable in the system tray then Panda decides to crash XP throwing up message like 'application host error unreachable' meaning the antivirus pshost cannot contact its servers. Then sysfader locks the system. That annoying sysfader is either from its installer or other programs. Avg or Avast never did this nonsense when disabled for whatever reason e.g you might want to video converter a file and close a few open programs etcetc.

      @Pensioner
Panda was the only Up-to-Date Antivirus program that i found that still would run on Windows XP.
The compatibility on Windows XP with other programs will not get better over time.

@infuscomus It is well documented that Comodo sold product users' details to 3rd party vendors. Google it. Panda antivirus is a better option for a decent up to date XP antivirus choice. Avast/AVG is now same company and adware.

    Good news and bad news:

The good news is that the Mypal website works fine under Internet Exploder 8, so there's no need to include Serpent, Mypal, or any other browser in this package. You can strip it all the way down to just the stuff that comes straight from Microsoft, with one exception...

The bad news is the exception. I just noticed that XP virtual machines won't see my 8TB external hard drive unless (probably) I install Paragon GPT Loader (or maybe enable UEFI support in the virtual machine settings, I have no idea). Unfortunately, that little tool has been unavailable from its original vendor since 2018. I assume you have a clean version archived on your hard drive somewhere, which is how you continue to include it in new versions of Integral Edition. Could you make it available as a separate download so people don't have to delete their virtual machines and start over from the beginning? For that matter, a proper standalone USB 3.0 driver installer would be great too for people who don't want to delete their virtual machines, start over from the beginning, AND screw around with the patch integrator.
    • This commment is unpublished.
Katie Boundary · 3 years ago
@Katie Boundary Update: According to some sources, Paragon GPT Loader only works for internal hard drives, not external ones. Do you know of any programs that are similar to GPT Loader, but do not suffer this restriction?
    • This commment is unpublished.
Katie Boundary · 3 years ago
@Katie Boundary Update: WinXP x64 Edition, installed on a physical machine, has no difficulty whatsoever with seeing my 8 TB external hard drive, even when the motherboard is set to legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI mode. It therefore shouldn't be too hard to get 32-bit XP to do the same thing, unless Virtualbox is getting in the way.

I'll test XP x64 Edition in a VM and see what happens... oh wait I can't. No USB 3.0 drivers.

@Katie Boundary If you copy the folder ".\OEM\RunOnce\Programs\Paragon GPT Loader v10.5.0.95" then you can install it manually on any Windows XP.

    • This commment is unpublished.
Katie Boundary · 3 years ago
@infuscomus I think the priority should be taking XP x64 Edition's ability to see external hard drives larger than 8 TB, and backporting it to 32-bit XP.
