HAYA Mr. Ram-Z ther za nu 'r3dfox' brow zur that bak-ports Firefox 125 2 werk on Window $ex Pee! =D ~>

    https://thorium.rocks/

iMod it like crazy (still fiddling = need 2 make the top bar smaller but dunno' how yet =P  1 of the most absurd, insane things in 'modern' browsers is putting the tabs above the address bar = as if we change addresses within a tab more than switch tabs = wastes mouse travel, like the extreme over-spacing 'anti-trend' (sabotage) ~>
My Firefox 52 is even way more compact than that = SOOO Much better, same way XP is so much more space efficient than N E thing after = they just keep making everything worse, on purpose =P  Same way they try 2 poison us all with the (((Clot $hots))) ~> https://justpaste.it/2ce64

I have noticed over the years, on different rugs, the Windows XP startup sound has a a studder or a ten millisecond hiccup when it plays.
Is there a buffer I can increase or some fix that will make it play smooth?
Or delay it untill all the background stuff is finished loading, than play the startup sound?

Using to repair xpp. It all goes great until it asks me for the COA. I put every xpp COA , XPP upgrade, sp1,sp2,sp3, media center, OEM tried every XPP key type and  none worked. Is there a special key for it?

@Claude The "Information" folder in the Zip-Archive file has what you need. And you should also do a fresh installation.

      @Claude
It's very important 2 never 'upgrade' an OS install unless U have very specific 'issues' that you NEED 2 'alter' & R able 2 verify U have found the EXACT correct solutions ('add ons') 2 'fix' those issues B 4 U ever 'install' N E 'mods'.  The reason is because the same way the function of 'The So-Called (((Government)))' is 2 try & rob & destroy everybody, like forcing the (((Clot $hots)) & other abuse, the goal of Micro$oft & Apple & others is 2 cripple yor ability 2 have a 'final solution' machine.

iRan a very old version of the 'Zone94' so-called 'Integral' Window $ex Pee (XP =) 4 over a decade & never changed it at all with 'security fixes' or other bull$hit.  That stuff is generally straight-up MALWARE 2 wreck yor machine trying 2 trick U into buying a new 1 = which is Y Vendor$ 'Lov' Micro$cam $OOO much =P  Just install it & lock it down B 4 U ever go 'online', PERMANENTLY disabling ALL 'phone home / update' bull$hit, 'workstation' & 'remote desktop' related 'services' that let them 'back door' U up the azz 2 wreck yor PC that way, & so on.  Then U have something that simply 'just works' 4ever (until it 'degrades' over time from YOUR program tweaks, as N E OS doz wen U fiddle with it =))  My bet is the reason U R having problems is because U tried 2 hook into the 'slave master' Micro$hit 2 'update', & not the fault of N E thing Mr. Ram-Z did with his 'Integral' OS =;-o  If U want the most reliable, stable, flexible system, simply turn off off everything but these, B 4 U ever connect 2 the internet, & leave it that way, 4ever. ~>
      1) DHCP Client = internet
      2) Event Log = just 2 avoid 'shut down hanging' (bug)
      3) Plug And Play = Audio
      4) Windows Audio = as above
      5) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) = runs 'everything' (pretty much =)
& just turn everything else off ~>
      http://p-nand-q.com/download/pserv_cpl/pserv2_x.html
= The old version is the best = typical LOL =))
Almost every so-called '$ervice' in XP iHav set 2 'DISABLED!!!' =)  Even $hit like 'DHCP' iHav 'off' because 'how often do U need 2 rearrange partitions via the OS tool'?  Never actually = as lots of 3'rd party tools 4 it, but iDo just 4 'consistency' so all EXACTLLY the same 4 'leap frogging' mods ~>

= U just download that & then open the folder & click the 'exe' (program) icon called 'Thorium.exe', like a 'portable' app run from a folder (showed U this sort of thing in the past). May help $peed up yor 'WorkFlow' with $tox & $tuff? =D It opens a ridiculous # of threads even 4 1 tab, but not worse than 'chrome' based stuff, which is 'everything' now, so whatever =P Fastest for browsing Youtube I've ever seen, even beating Firestick 4K 'Android' & iOS stuff =) Somebody please explain 2 me Y the frak U would ever use N E thing other than the XP version when it is fast like this & will do the chrome web store = WTF? Now all we need is a Firefox version, because Chrome 'forbids' being 'portable' = loses add-ons when move 2 another machine unless U 'sync' 2 joogle 'cloud' =P Maybe he can fix that 2? & also make 'latest greatest' Firefox work on XP 2? Gonna' try 2 convince him =D

HAHA iWent on the 'Nobara' / Eggroll Discord & was almost immediately banned, simply 4 giving them helpful suggestions & stuff = amazing! =)) Whether he is hiding behind 'shell accounts' or not, the fact he would 'allow' such absurd 'mods' or (unwritten) 'policy' proves 'Nobara' is just another typical 'machine gun nest against users' routine, where the 'developers' & 'elites' can sit back & laugh sadistically with a 'Werx 4 MEEE!' chant =)) In interviews he $ez he only cares about making it 4 him & his dad 2 play games (no mention of expanding 2 a wider market like even 2 $upport it, though he makes over $1,000 a month just on Patreon donations =)) N E waze, y'all may find this interesting = similar stuff 2 wat iPost here, but Mr. Ram-Z isn't a left-tard (ONLY) Black (CRINMINAL) Lives Matter 'This Is An (((LGBT Safe Space)))' routine (which iDid not 'offend' either =)) That fat gook clown is just fishing 4 excuses 2 betray his users = OMG! =)) Terms Of Chat ~>

iAm looking 4 a little software tool or 'mod file' or something 2 enable 'desktop sync' 2 avoid horizontal video tearing when watching web browser video in Windows XP  Other than that iThink XP is overall the best operating system 4 general 'consumer computing' (also runs most of the ATM machines on Earth, etc. = very 'secure' & 'well supported' but people are tricked into constant 'upgrades' =)) There R many ways 2 fix the 'desktop sync' issue & iCan provide links 2 the 'technology' involved but I'm not a 'programmer guy' so it's outside my 'abilities' 4 now. Windows XP is so infinitely superior 2 N E thing after it's comical. Even 7 is a wreck, like forcing auto-sorting of file folders by alphabet so zip expansions & file moves end up mixed in & scattered, & full row select sabotage 2 make it even more useless, & classic Windows 95 type themes disable desktop sync so web video tears, etc. With 'desktop sync' there's really no need to ever switch away from XP 4 general purpose stuff. If U R a 'gamer' maybe U 'need' Windows 10 or something, but that's just 4 the artificially locked 'latest greatest' DX or something. Ideally everything should be rolled back & expanded like a pre internet explorer Windows '95 but with 'driver & kernel module expansion' & more 'SXS' side by site type thngs so can run 'modern' software =) The older & more 'obsolete' U go, the faster & less resource hungry U get =D With XP 4 instance U only need about 5 things running 4 typical systems ~>

I have a question. If I build a brand new computer with a new i7 or i9 CPU and 32GB of ram, can Windows XP...even with the mem limit patch and server 2k3 memory management; can Windows XP....based on Windows 2000 which was released to RTM in 1999.....can XP take full advantage of the speed and power of a modern CPU and fast RAM of today?
I get that maybe Server 2003 x64 might bring that it's kernal is apparently the genesis of Vista/7, but I'm talking about the heart of XP x86 being able to use ALL of today's hardware.

Ram-Z is lying 2 U.  32 bit XP takes MORE advantage of 'latest greatest' hardware, because it is so much less bloated by comparison =)  Also 32 bit is inherently faster than 64 = less overhead, etc.  Comparing Windows XP to both 32 & 64 bit versions of Windows 7 4 instance the 64 bit 7 is the slowest (& can clearly tell when playing HD youtube videos, etc.) all with same hardware & browser, etc.  I do not 'think'.  iKNOW =)  iTEST these things, & it's Y iStill use 'Window $ex Pee' even 2day, & also the rants about 'security' R a $cam 2 trick people into WA$TING $$$ on 'newer latest greatest' krap that's more expensive & much worse.  Almost all ATM machines on Earth R running on XP, & it's very 'secure' & all that especially when U strip it down.  U only need 5 processes running 4 most things, & of course always switch off trash like 'firewall' & 'server/workstation' & so on = the very existence of 'firewall' requires U open other holes, so better off without it, etc.  N E waze, my main config, which I do via 'Pserv.cpl' is ~>

      1) DHCP Client = internet
      2) Event Log = just 2 avoid 'shut down hanging' (bug)
      3) Plug And Play = Audio
      4) Windows Audio = as above
      5) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) = runs 'everything' (pretty much =)
& just turn everything else off ~>
= The old version is the best = typical LOL =))

N E waze, I'm a big XP expert (though not 2 the level of Ramsey in a 'programming/installer' way) but more a 'tweak it out & optimize it' way.  Ideally somebody should modify the 'before internet explorer came out' version of Windows '95, & add whatever other 'compatibility' layers would B needed 2 run 'modern' software on top of it, because pre-IE '95 is way faster than N E thing after it, same way '98 is faster than XP, wich is faster than 7, which is faster than N E Micro$cam OS after that, etc.  They just keep getting more bloated & slow with the 'required' threads running.  Where '95/98 etc only need 1 'process' XP needs 5 or so (pretty much) & 7 way more, & 10 even more, etc.  Just because U have a CPU that can do 64 bit doesn't mean it is faster if U run a 64 bit OS.  The exact opposite is true = the fewer the bits, the faster U get =)  64 bit is a total $cam =P

4 instance, even without the 'PAE' extension working 2 'address more RAM' U could always just boot with a RAM disk thing 2 dump the 'swap file' there & grow it N E size, same way U can run 'giant' drives on old Win 98 & whatever by using 'drive overlay software' 2 get around BIOS limitations.  Newer does not mean better.  With operating systems it's usually the opposite.  Micro$oft spends the majority of their effort DESTROYING the user interface & other features, but maybe 'Nobara' will finally give us another option =)  Even 'Chrome' OS can run on regular PC hardware & do Windows apps, so the easier we can switch the better.  Even Windows 7 is a total wreck compared 2 XP, like the file management interface is totally broken, relatively speaking.  It all just keeps getting worse with Micro$hit =P

U R better off going with Intel Xeon + nVidia =)  Don't use the official drivers site, because they deliberately break it 2 try & discourage & sabotage people who buy their cards on the used market.  Go here instead ~>
Latest XP driver (depending on model) ~>
Supported card list for that particular driver (others available) ~>
Etc.  I've tried AMD stuff in the past & they R less compatible with Windows, & same goes 4 ATI stuff = less flexible than nVidia.  U can try 2 save a bit of money on new prices for the same or faster speed maybe going AMD or ATI but U do pay 4 it in the long run with 'compatibility issues' =P  Also avoid the 'i' prefix series of Intel CPUs, as they have 'spin lock loop' issues or whatever, slowing '.NET' type stuff like crazy 2 try & get fake 'low power efficiency' ratings on the 'spec sheet' = kind of like an audio brand listing 'peak watts', as if that even matters =))  The best indicator of the sound quality of a regular ('class A/B) audio amplifier/receiver is the physical weight, as that tells U how 'slammin' the bass & stuff will B, because bigger transformer = more current =)

iWould suggest 'old' used Dells, like the T3500, or T5810 (iHav 12 of those currently, running XP). iMay $ell them off with Win 10 or 11 garbage 2 profit but iLike how they're all identical as a 'testing platform' & 'backups' & would rather get even more & 'rent' them various ways =D Like with multi-boot Nobara, 10, etc. Nobody likes 11. Fools 'tolerate' it thinking they 'need' it but they don't. Win 7 is also a good option but people even think that is '2 old' if they R a 'sheep' not interested in doing N E research =P 7, 10, 11, etc. = they're all $hit compared 2 XP. Nobara may B better but not sure yet = still in the learning phase 4 me =)

Here we have now a Tablet PC 2005 Standalone Installer.

This Installer includes all the Tablet PC 2005 updates and .NET Framework v1.0 updates.
For some stage reason .NET Framework v1.0 is required for the Tablet PC 2005 to work correctly. If .NET Framework v1.0 is not found on your computer then the Installer will add it. The Uninstaller can also remove the .NET Framework v1.0 from your computer if selected.

Hey Ramsey, should WinNTSetup be able to install XP Integral? Tried in a VM with the Patched ISO, and it complains about wdf01000.sys not being found.
Tried with an unpatched ISO on a separate VM - it complained about nvraid.sys not being found.
Seems that WinNTSetup works it out with a "Floppyless" install, checking for stuff in the $WIN_NT$.~BT folder in the Boot (aka in MS nomenclature: System) volume.

If the WinNTSetup tool is messing around with the ISO files then it can cause problems.
The Windows XP setup files "DOSNET.INF" and "TXTSETUP.SIF" have all the infos on how the files should be copied at the installation stage.

@Ramsey Not sure, but I have noticed that since it follows the "Floppyless" method, it seems to copy files that are included in the "FloppyFiles" sections in dosnet.inf (I wonder what are the fundamental differences between .1,.2,.3 and .x FloppyFiles sections)?

@Ramsey Not sure, but I have noticed that since it follows the "Floppyless" method, it seems to copy files that are included in the "FloppyFiles" sections in dosnet.inf (I wonder what are the fundamental differences between .1,.2,.3 and .x FloppyFiles sections)?

      Here's a tl;dr (hope it won't eat that again!):
      1. Moved relevant lines of wdf01000.sys, wdf01011.inf and wdfldr.sys from [SourceDisksFiles] to [SourceDisksFiles.x86] in txtsetup.sif - the section seems to be proper for handling at text-mode setup stage.
      DOSNET.inf changes: put d1,wdf01000.sys and d1,wdfldr.sys under ucx01000.sys in [FloppyFiles.2].
      2. Handled duped lines of sdbus.inf & sdbus.sys (not handling it will cause the i386 setup to yell about not being able to copy these files). Kept only lines under SourceDisksFiles.x86, and removed the duped lines in [Files] under dosnet.inf.

These steps allowed me to get past through the "Copying files..." i386 text-mode stage. Will keep you posted and see if I can actually get the system installed and work just like if I installed traditionally, via disc o7

@MorningGlory Coming with results of the WinNTSetup experiment - the OS actually installed correctly when relevant changes mentioned below are done, and so far I haven't noticed any drawbacks compared to the traditional method of installing via disc. See the hell-of-a-mozaic-for-a picrel attached. 😄

It's gonna be one hell of a moloch trying to fix that in the Vanilla ISO, considering the driverpack integration and helluva lot of storage drivers to be solved, and whatnot.

Don't really have that much experience in manually modifying dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif, just tinkering until it gets to work. 😂
But the DOSNET config seems not to be just for handling files when winnt32 is ran & the source is from some kinda remote location. I've attached these files for those more knowledgeable on that to have a say. (txtsetup.inf needs to have the extension set to .SIF, as it wouldn't attach otherwise).

Used WinNTSetup v4.2.5 (last version running in x86 Windows host systems, the latest version of the application seemed to silently crash just after the "Copying source files" prompt, not sure if it's Integral-specific or if it happens with vanilla XP SP3 images too) to image the medium to a 120GB NTFS Windows volume (and drop the bootfiles to a 32MB FAT16-formatted boot volume, similar partition layout to later versions of Windows). Of course, had to set the VBR for the boot volume to NTLDR with BootICE so that it won't bork, and the volume was active.
Had WinNTSetup use the unattended answer file, and set the proper OEM folder path.

By the way, Ramsey, it was a mistake to remove the UDF 2.5 driver as the Feature Pack for Storage update just pertains to IMAPI stuff - which for this case is the ability of burning/mastering discs that will use the UDF2.5 filesystem. Reading such discs is still a problem without using a 3rd-party driver:

Tested it myself by creating a test ISO image using UDF 2.5 in ImgBurn, unfortunately trying to access it will burst a "Disk is not formatted" error, mentioning an incompatible format.

Looking forward to a new release 😉
