      Hi,
      when you get
"Found that acpi.sy_ on the pendrive is dated 2008"
this means, that no working image of XP is on your USB stick.
Make a try with a real burned CD

      @Dietmar  Thanks, Dietmar.
Burned the modified iso to a dvd+rw via Imgburn. Booted dvd. setup files copied to ssd partition.First reboot- "windows could not start because the foll. file is missing or corrupt:windows root\system\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file." Tried by rebooting the cd - the whole install process starts over again. Aborted.
The previous attempt to install with winsetupusb - my working win xp partition has ewf, where some original files in the C partition, are changed (iirc, i had disabled ewf when setting up winsetupusb). So i thought that may be the reason why winsetupusb did not work properly. So i used a laptop having win 10 - to make the xp usb. Still got a similar error as mentioned in my first post (last one but with some changes iirc).

@Ed Tried a few things like making the first partition the boot partition for (new install) xp in RPM, booting via the dvd/E2B (win folder with iso), etc. I think the main problem is there is no inbuilt basic video driver for my cpu (UHD610) ????. Managed to install win 8.1 x64.

@Dietmar Hello guys! With the new update, do you think that i will be able to install it on my laptop and get past the error 0x7 or whatever that was?
By the way i have the bios of the laptop as a exe. Would it help you to extract the original ACPI from the bios of my laptop?

      Just an idea

      Hi,
I compared the very first Bios from 2017 for this HP 255 G6 E2 notebook,
with the one, that you send to me.
In this very first Bios are more entries for legacy CSM.
Even it is crazy for me to extract and to read the Insyde Bios from HP,
I think, that the most important CSM settings for to boot via MBR are kept,
      so there is hope

@Grissa Hello Grissa, could you provide details about your PC?
Mainboard model/chipset, SSD-type-mode, (processor, RAM, graphic, USB-2-3, network adapter, audio)?
(I guess you have older PC, because it's impossible to install original-WIN-XP on modern hardware, without Ramsey patches.)

Hello, I tried several times to make Windows XP have concurrent sessions,I also tried on older versions but without success. I tried all kinds of patches and still nothing, the only one with which I succeed temporarily is this one https://github.com/stascorp/tspatch but after a restart of the operating system it returns to the previous settings. Did someone manage to have concurrent sessions and the settings remain even after restarting the operating system.

@YoWassup I tried your version but without success. Same result. After a restart, the settings no longer have an effect.

@Alex Возможно, вы неправильно воспроизвели пункт 3, т.к. он является самым важным и отвечает за перенастройку клиентской машины после перезагрузки. Т.е. скрипт должен быть выполнен при старте системы:C:
      /\WINDOWS\system32\reg.exe add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" /v AllowMultipleTSSessions /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

@Alex Probably you have reproduced point 3 incorrectly, because it is the most important and is responsible for reconfiguration of the client machine after reboot. I.e. the script must be executed at system startup:
      C:/\WINDOWS\system32\reg.exe add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" /v AllowMultipleTSSessions /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

@Alex I would first only try the Registry entries because the "termsrv.dll" file is already patched.

@Alex I skipped step 3 because the 4 computers I own are not in the domain, but now that I applied step 3 it works.

Can we test if glendronach NVME driver can run on XP?

@infuscomus Maybe in the future? As this is what he writes on the wiki:
"If I have time in future, I could try to re-implement it to SCSI Miniport to support older windows."

Thank you, Ramsey. I really appreciate these builds you publish. Windows XP is pretty much an OS I need. There are so many apps and games that I use that can only work on XP or later. It also puts my old Optiplex 790 to use.

For me it is stuck on Windows Setup is stating Window, to me sounds like the issue is with SATA drivers, but previously it wasn't the case. :(

    Any idea?

I would try to buy a new PC with modern hardware to install XP.
I am still using XP and I am fond of its simplisity and clarity.
I cannot use win10 , because of laggy response and bloated interface.

Can anyone make a setup of new hardware intel - mobo - gpu ?

Currently I am using H MT8300 midi tower with i7 3770 , 4gb ram, and quadro k4200 and I am happy, but I need something more powerful.
(I cannot install PAE > 4gb on this machine , i don't know why. I have 16 gb ram installed.)

      Hi,
the Gigabyte UD z690 ddr4 is a nice, new boards for XP.
When you look for something more cheap,
for sure the ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6 is the best.
For this board you have to look at Ebay,
may be together with cpu 8700k and 32 Gbyte ram,
because this board is not produced anymore
