    Question: I've got a lot of legally purchased content through streaming services which I prefer to have archived on my own system...not to share, but to ensure it remains available (I've experienced extended network outages after storms and such). I used to be able to use PlayOn for that archiving, but they've since neutered what was supposed to be a lifetime subscription purchase so that it doesn't work any more. Do you know of any archival utilities for streaming content which might be suitable? Preferably on Linux (Ubuntu Studio), but XP or W10 in a VM would work for me as well.

      @Tid I guess you mean DarkNet. The TorBrowser is a quick way to get access to it and use Whonix if you want protect yourself against government zero day exploits to get you real IP.
      If you search for "Hidden Wiki" then you will get a few DakNet URL's (.onion) but you have to look manually for them because Tor doesn't really have a useful search engine.

      @Ramsey DarkNet is like walking naked in a world meant to harm unless you want to be part of yes you gonna be harmed and make sure of it.

      Darknet is mostly located in the US of A so u need to pay attention on how anyone uploads or maintains any URL , mostly i figure they have or they think they have some kind of protection so e.g. the FBI can't touch them if and when and so on...
      Could be a shrink working on his phd thesis and uploading a unity free version game to make sure he gets some attention and plz do play...
      Could be a satanist so called god help them and so mother...f...on...
      Could be a good old school gamer , frankly i am missing these guys , u see when the Internet was released in 1983 or so most of them legislating were gamers...I am talking the real sh+it.

      Tor is mostly a joke to tell to first grade kids learning how to log in on facebook ramsey...
      That's what i heard i know nothing...

    I do have a nice collection, all legit, that I've paid for over the years. However, in recent years it seems certain providers have come up with creative interpretations of what "you own it" means...which never seem to be in the favor of the purchaser. Possible pointers to archival utilities?
