    Dietmar,

    I resolved the missing imports for Windows 8.0 storport.sys
    It seems to work with storahci in a VM at least, please test on real hardware for NVMe

    P.S I reverted to patch integrator 3.3.2 for known working base.

      @infuscomus Hi,
      I build a brandnew  *.iso with your Patch Integrator with storport.sys from win8.

      Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition 2022.6.16 (Customized Option; 2,3,4,6,7,A,C,D,E,G).iso

      This I set up on the z690 Asrock Extreme board.
      Because I also want to know, if with your nice DSDT modd, the crash of most browsers
      on this platform, because of the splitting in power and efficience cores, is gone.
      Soon I report

      @infuscomus Hi,
      your storport.sys from win8 works together with the Kai Schtrom Sata driver, nice!
      In this Sata driver from Kai I see, that it is direct linked to ntoskrnl.exe and your new storport. sys for win8.

      What is with the other drivers, that have been linked before to ntoskrn8.sys and storpor8.sys

      any luck working with my 8.0 storport.sys and NVMe?

      @infuscomus Hi, your storport.sys from win8 works for the Sata from Kai with working SMART,
      for USB3 from Move (not Life USB),
      and for the Silicon nvme.

      Works not for Microsoft nvme 2.0, 2.2.
      Energy is not correct treated: In Energy settings you can only choose the Monitor but not HD time for switch off.
      This has the effect, that message appears, when you shut the compi down,
      that the power for HD is lost.

      But it is a great work anyway!
      Interesting, that you go back to do the things without ntoskrn8.sys
      Dietmar

      PS: Now I test the behavior of Browser crash with your DSDT patch via Asl5.

      I think we will need Mov's help to resolve the energy problems.

      I ported Windows 8.1 storNVMe driver and storport!
      These will have same energy problems though

      @infuscomus And interesting,
      ALL problematic USB sticks work with your storport from win8.0.
      So, this seems to be a downside in storport from win7 with USB3 and USB2
      for a lot of devices

      Yeah,
      also best not to use nlite for this, use the optional patch integrator script instead.

    Hi,
    I just make an universal XP SP3 on your June 2022 version.
    It boots really every compi, that I have.
    For this, I use as base my german XP SP3, integrate there the updates until May 2014 and all POSready also via Nlite.
    This Iso I rename to yours
     Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition 2022.6.16 (Vanilla).iso
    and then I use your Patch Integrator.
    Via this way I recogniced also, that for the Dell Optiplex 780 only the original acpi.sys works, others give Bsod 0x7F kerneltrap.
    For me the most important is, that the whole install of XP SP3 is now less than 15 min. The size of my xp.iso with the updates is 864 Mb, which is a downside,
    but it really contains everything from the original XP CD.

    Very much I hope, that this nice compatibility stays in your next version.
    And it is a good idea, to let the user choose, which driver he needs.

    On all z690 boards I notice a strange behavior for all USB drivers:
    Some USB devices are not recogniced.
    So, an USB driver from win 8.1 would be nice, but we dont have.
    In this case, only an USB card with the driver from the Manufactorer helps,
    best are those from VIA or Asmedia for XP
    Dietmar

      Ramsey · 1 years ago
      @Dietmar The compatibility will stay, it works with any Windows XP SP3 Pro ISO file.

      Below is also a new Patch Integrator version.
      The Microsoft NVMe drive will probably be removed in the next version because i think it doesn't support Setup Installation and gives an error after the final boot.

      If you have a computer with an SD+MMC device build-in, then you could try out the new Microsoft SD+MMC driver on a fresh installation and see if it passes the installation without errors.

      EDIT:
      New Patch Integrator beta version.

      @Ramsey Hi,
      this nvme version from Move supports to boot from nvme and it is the only driver,
      that works always on any nvme device

      @Dietmar Can you also install Windows XP on a NVMe drive with it? Because that's what's not working according to some users.
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Dietmar · 1 years ago
      @Ramsey It is not the nvme driver, that you use.
      I am not good in building Setup CDs,
      but only with this driver you have a chance.
      I boot XP from any nvme via this driver, even compi from 2009.
      Not so difficult, because only storport.sys has to be at the right places,
      as @daniel_k describes
      Dietmar

      PS: Start=0 and Group System Reserved, storport.sys integrate, thats all and works.

      Ramsey · 1 years ago
      @Dietmar That's the problem, with a Setup CD you will get an error on the last installation boot.

      The new "Silicon Motion NVMe" driver should be a good alterative that should also works with a Setup CD.

      @infuscomus Do all the modded acpi.sys files have this high CPU wattage problem?
      I'm planning to reduce the amount of acpi.sys files in the "Patch Integrator", because no normal user will test over 20 acpi.sys files. 😅 I'm only not such which acpi.sys files we should keep? 🤔

      @Ramsey Hi,
      yes all acpi.sys drivers until now have this problem with power,
      as long the new definition in DSDT for the cpu is used by motherboard manufacturers.
      Now thanks to @infuscomus it is nearly solved, for to modd the DSDT on newer boards without any risk, because nothing is changed in Bios.

      Yesterday I got the experiance with the Dell Optiplex 780 Pc, that ONLY the original acpi.sys from XP SP3 works there, all newer modded versions give there
      Bsod 0x7F Kernel Trap (some kind of memory problem)

      @Ramsey Yeah, all the existing acpi.sys drivers have this issue since they're unable to process the new ACPI0007 ID for processors.

    Hello, can you make an XP lite edition that fits with 2 GB hdd especially for thin client PC? or maybe make POSready 2009 integral edition? I tried POSready 2009 ISO from microsoft but it is too outdated, has IE7 and getting ceritificate error, I can't access internet at all. I only use thin client PC to setup kiosk

      @John Turn off Recycle Bin, System Restore, Page File, and only install the extra stuff you only need.

      @John John, if it helps, I have used various builds of XP over the years. I can tell you that web browsing is more difficult if you don't have up-to-date certificates, but it is a bit tricky to update them (which is why I'm very grateful for the fact that an "Integral Edition" exists which has them built into the OS already). I'm going to state for the record that your POSReady 2009 ISO should be totally fine, and depending on your needs you may not even need the Integral Edition (though it comes HIGHLY recommended; Ramsey's advice is good).

      Based on a lot of testing and trial and error, the absolute lowest you can go and still have something fairly usable in a modern sense is XP SP2. Since you have a 2 GB HDD, I would consider using Windows FLP (which is based on SP2) or sticking with your POSReady 2009 (which is also very lightweight and good for kiosk PCs). XP SP2 introduced a lot of important stability fixes and core improvements over SP1, and has built-in support for a lot of things that make the user experience easier and more convenient.

      It will be difficult to use the Internet without up-to-date certificates, but thankfully there are many browsers that have modern TLS support built-in. Just about anything from roytam1 should work with no issues in XP SP2 or later, along with earlier builds of feodor2's Mypal and Centaury. Mypal 68 will also work, but on SP2 it will probably be a bit buggier. For certain sites, a Chromium-based engine works better, and in those cases I recommend the 360Chrome (360 Extreme Explorer) browser, builds of which have been maintained by NotHereToPlayGames (formerly ArcticFoxie) and Humming Owl on MSFN. In XP SP2 and SP3, versions 12 and 13 work with no issues. All versions of 360 (9.5, 11, 12, and 13) work in XP SP3 without problems.

      I hope this helps, even a little bit!

      @cmccaff1 I will give POSReady 2009 ISO a try again. After some research I found a file called rootsupd.exe that should fix certificates. Hope it works on POSReady 2009 too

      Intergral edition takes 3 GB although I disabled all features (I tried on VM)

      @John Wow...I actually wasn't aware of that! Thanks for letting me know--I've downloaded an archived version of the file from the Microsoft site and I'll be keeping it on my flash drive.

    After many years of using Windows XP, I can say without a doubt that it is still one of the best OSes out there (heck, it might still be #1 depending on what you look for in an OS). Whether you're using an old Pentium 4 with integrated graphics, or an Ivy Bridge i7 with a GTX 970, XP still gets the job done for just about anything, and is still my favorite OS for speed, customization, and stability.
    I've come to the conclusion that you can't go wrong with the majority of XP builds, but this "Integral Edition" is the one I've been sticking with for a long time, and the one I always go back to (even though I occasionally tinker with other hacked-up builds). It is great to have the most up-to-date system files possible, and updated root certificates (which makes a big difference on Chromium-based browsers, for example), along with all the other cool 'optional' stuff (I always check every single box). Other builds might be leaner, others may be bigger, but this is one you can trust, download and feel secure about what you have.
    Some features that depend on the right combination of system files and drivers (such as native MS-DOS support) may necessitate trying earlier builds, but for me it isn't worth it unless there is a critical need for them. This "Integral Edition" is a clear and true labor of love, and at the expense of sounding trite it is a dream come true to have something like this still being maintained in 2022. I especially appreciate how Ramsey goes to the lengths he does to test as much as possible before every release.
    I hope that this project will be supported as long as possible, and that people will continue to contribute to it. Someday we will probably all have to 'upgrade' for one reason or another, but I'll be sticking with XP until there's no fight left in the champ!
    Thank you very, VERY much for your efforts! You are appreciated! It is never in vain!

    Hi Ramsey
    I found that Zoom Player doesn't run chrome 49 and neither does NLite.
    What system files could it corrupt ?
    Do you have any feedback ?😇

    I installed and older version of "*Xp Integral Edition", and I remember there was an extraction *.cmd operation to do in separate folder to include, or not, some patches, fixes or tools, now I even don't find a readme in "Information folder" which could explain this... that's because the iso inside is ready to install? but the other content folders what reason to be there, apart? I was even searching for an archive link to download old versions just to compare what is "missing" (for my knowledge) here... Thanks for the attention. Regards...

      @Sebastiano That "*.cmd" file is now in the "Patch Integrator v*" folder. And the Extra folder is for the stuff that's not included in the ISO file because most user won't need it.

      @Ramsey Hi Ramsey,
      add my acpi.sys, it works even with any problems with the DSDT table
      and always gives that everything is fullfilled^^ with acpi.
      It is the acpi.sys, which I send to Ed here

      @Dietmar Is the "acpi 7777 - 2022.5.10 (v5) - MovAX" not the newest anymore?

      @Ramsey Hi Ramsey,
      this one is this acpi.sys from MovAx,
      but it also fixes unknown error in DSDT 11h and 3h
      bugcheckparameter1

      PS: And via the post from Ed you just see, that it is needed.

      @Ramsey Hi Ramsey,
      Before I had winusb.de But now not.
      When you use this "new" acpi.sys as default one, XP runs on more compis, nothing bad happens to other ones, because only two tests from acpi where always answered with "yes" in this file, which gave in other cases Bsod A5, x03 or A5 x011
