      @Joe Monco A lot of stuff doesn't exits for Windows XP 64-bit. It would be half of what WinXP-IE 32-bit is now.

    Hello, I'm new here and I want to ask a couple of questions. Are these two download links equivalent and if yes then why first (torrent) link is needed when there is a second (local) link just under it and this second link allows to download XP archive right from here without installing some torrent program before that?

    What about chipset drivers - am I myself to search a driver for my Z97 chipset for XP (which driver doesn't exist) or there is another solution? Thank you.

      Ramsey · 4 years ago
      @Tinien Yes the links are the same. And it's always good to have a backup link, if possible.
      And their is no Z97 chipset driver for Windows XP.

      Tinien · 4 years ago
      @Ramsey Thank you for your quick response. Would you suggest can I install this XP build on my PC with Z97 chipset? If I understand it correctly this build is adapted for modern hardware so that to work on it flawlessly. So maybe this build will accept some other Z97 driver? Maybe Z97 driver for Windows 7 x32? This is the main problem in installing XP at the moment.

      @Tinien
      You also have to check if there are Windows XP drivers for your Graphic Card and Sound Card.
      And you really have to test to see if it works like it should on your PC.

      @Stef Yes, all the default Printer drivers are still included. Because some manufactures don't have put the default Printer driver on their website.

      @Grissa
      If you only use your computer for Office and Multimedia then take a Core-I3.
      The difference is that you get 50% more CPU cores with each higher Intel Core model.
      2/2 Cores (Office and Multimedia).
      4/4 Cores (Office and Multimedia and normal Gaming and medium Video Rendering speed).
      6/6 Cores (Office and Multimedia and Gaming and normal Video Rendering speed).

    Hello Ramsey.
    First I want to apologize for my completely null understanding of the English language, my native language is Spanish. This is translated by the program DeepL which is much better than the one that comes integrated with Google. So I hope for your understanding.
    For some time now I have been trying to install Win XP SP3 on a Modern Machine.
    Previously I managed to install it on an ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667 R2.0 compatible with XP. I used Windows XP Professional SP3 X86 - Integral Edition 2020.9.9 without using "WinXP-IE Optional Patch Integrator v2.3.4" and it installed without any problems.
    However my main Computer is an ASUS Prime Z270-K, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Graphics Card, Kingston 120GB SSD, 16GB RAM and Intel Core i3-6100 CPU as main installation accessories.
    After about 4 or 5 failures where I used USB, CD and even DVD installation methods, I FINALLY SUCCESSFULLY succeeded in learning how to correctly use the "WinXP-IE Optional Patch Integrator v2.3.4".
    For those of you who have a Z270 computer:
    Choose Options 1, 4, 6 and 8 of "WinXP-IE Optional Patch Integrator v2.3.4".
    My intervention in the installation was minimal. First on the partition table before formatting, geographical location, keyboard method, time region and the optional programs.
    The result was:
    RAM: 15.9 GB.
    CPU: Intel Core i3-6100, 3.70 GHz, in the Device Manager it recognizes the 4 Cores.
    Right there, in the Device Manager, I used the Null Driver, SMbus and KabyLakePCH-HSystem files that have appeared in different forums to remove the yellow devices.
    For this test I used an old Nvidia GeForce GT 620 compatible with XP integrating the Drivers 368.81 and there were no problems, because there are no XP Drivers for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.
    For the sound I used the Driver:
    Realtek_HD_Audio_v5.10.0.7514_23.08.2016
    In the end only the Ethernet Controller was left in Yellow but I will shortly get the EDUP Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express PCI-E Network Card 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 LAN adapter converter network card for desktop PC and see how it turns out.
    IT MUST BE INSTALLED VIA CD, OTHERWISE THE INSTALLATION WILL FAIL.

    However I have a problem: I happen to have an ENCORE ENLTV-FM3 TV Card. When installing the drivers, utilities and even DirectX 9.0c (although there is no need because the operating system comes with higher versions) everything goes normally.
    But when I start the program a black screen appears and there is no sound. Then when I choose my country and click on "Search Channels" the program finds them including the frequencies, but always with a black screen and no sound. I change channels and still the same. I search for FM radios and nothing. It is as if the card was asleep, but not dead.
    The same thing happens when I install it on the ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667 R2.0 with Windows XP Professional SP3 X86 - Integral Edition 2020.9.9 but not with a Genuine XP. I also have no problems when I install it on Windows 7 64 bit on ASUS Prime Z270-K. It only happens with Windows XP Professional SP3 X86 - Integral Edition 2020.9.9.
    My question is: is there something inside the Integral Edition OS that prevents the card from working?
    Could you help me Ramsey?

    But this is only a small problem, because the great achievement of you and all your colleagues is that it IS possible to install XP on an ASUS Prime Z270-K, so please receive my admiration and thanks.

      @julioavanti
      Try to use the "Optional Patch Integrator" on the Genuine XP, and check if you have the same problem. Simply rename to Genuine XP file name to the WinXP-IE file name.

      @Ramsey If I read this correctly he is saying he used the patch integrator already and has XP up and running, but his TV tuner is not working correctly.

      @julioavanti Try disabling the GTX 1050 in device manager (should be called "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter") and only use the GT 620 with the TV tuner.

      @julioavanti you say it works with genuine XP but not Integral Edition?

      @infuscomus Yes exactly. That's why i said he should use the Genuine XP with the "Optional Patch Integrator" to see if he runs into the same problem.

      @infuscomus Answer #1
      I used the GT 620 to install the OS and for the TV tuner installation and setup and it did not work.
      Answer No. 2
      Exactly, with Genuine XP the TV Card works, it also works with Windows 7 64 Bits, both in the ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667 R2.0 and in the ASUS Prime Z270-K. But it does not work with Windows XP Professional SP3 X86 - Integral Edition 2020.9.9 on either of the 2 computers. Any ideas?

    Is there an update to the Serpent browser in latest XP Integral? All I could see was code form versions not installers using home page access from browser 'developers' tab in Sepent. Thanks.

      If you click on about and then on "what's new" then you will be linked to the Sepent download page.
      Simply download the latest Zip file and replace the files in the "C:\Program Files\Basilisk-UXP" folder with the once in the Zip file.

    Why you modify presetup.cmd and where you find pmtimer.exe, DSPdsblr.exe and DPsFnshr.exe which are different than the official driverpacks base 10.06? Where the source code and how one can reproduce bugs (if any) in the 10.06?

      @sifonetori
      The official DriverPacks BASE has a bug in the presetup.cmd file. It will overwrite the Registry entry "Device Path" instead of adding it's new entries to the existing once.
      And you can open the presetup.cmd file with any text editor. The section that was replaced is the "Scanning for driverdirectories.".

      @jonathan This XP homebrew isn't destined for upgrading - only for clean installation. Make sure to read the README from the description (or included in the ISO contents) before installing the OS, as it also has included minimum/recommended system requirements for this homebrew.

      I'd also suggest checking this, as it would be useful for firefox + derivatives and older hardware:
