@lumpitor Snappy Driver Installer Origin, although make sure to deduce which driver is fine and appropriate. there's nothing better than getting drivers manually, though.

85% of the program i use are open source. Most of the time you will find open source programs that will do the same thing as the paid once.
But one way to find what you want is on the torrent websites. Checkout the Web Link section.

@Guest16346 Nsane used to be a great and innovative site, but the only patched files are quite old software and newer versions of these programs tend to be trial only.

@Mark if you're using the forums unregistered, then some "spicy" forum sections are hidden from the unregistered. for ex. the Microsoft Activation Scripts (HWID+KMS38) thread is locked down from the non-registered as it's located in that section.

This can't coexist with the SATA DriverPack or Microsoft SATA driver side by side.
That's why i added the DriverPacks BASE Remover so that you can add any SATA driver you want manually without any conflicts.

You could also try and add your SATA Hardware ID to the Patch Integrator, by replacing the code lines below with a text editor.

In the File ".\WinXP-IE Optional Patch Integrator v2.3.4.cmd"

      Replace this:
      "Integrator Files\Tools\Fedit.exe" -add -f "%TempDir%\TXTSETUP.SIF" -s "HardwareIdsDatabase" -l "PCI\CC_010601 = \"storahci\"" -onc
      WIth this:
      "Integrator Files\Tools\Fedit.exe" -add -f "%TempDir%\TXTSETUP.SIF" -s "HardwareIdsDatabase" -l "PCI\CC_010601 = \"storahci\"" -once
      "Integrator Files\Tools\Fedit.exe" -add -f "%TempDir%\TXTSETUP.SIF" -s "HardwareIdsDatabase" -l "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A382 = \"storahci\"" -once
In the File ".\Integrator Files\Patches\Microsoft SATA driver v2.0\storahci.inf"

And in the File ".\Integrator Files\Patches\Microsoft SATA driver v2.0\storahci.inf"

      Replace this:
%PCI\CC_010601.DeviceDesc%=msahci_Inst, PCI\CC_010601; Standard SATA AHCI Controller
      WIth this:
%PCI\CC_010601.DeviceDesc%=msahci_Inst, PCI\CC_010601; Standard SATA AHCI Controller
%PCI\CC_010601.DeviceDesc%=msahci_Inst, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A382; Standard SATA AHCI Controller

@Ramsey Now there is a big text saying windows can't load the drive (i think because of lack of driver), when i continue i have the same bsod as before.

      https://postimg.cc/4KwZWqPq

i will try replacing the drivers files (inf cat sys) with the ones from fernando,
      and i'll try with nlite.

      Ramsey · 4 years ago
@Bumpy Then you out of luck with the patched Microsoft SATA driver. But the nLite thing should work, looks more complicate than it is.

      @Ramsey I tried to add iaahci.cat iaAHCI.inf iastor.cat iaStor.inf and iaStor.sys
by adding them in the Microsoft SATA driver v2.0 folder and adding them in WinXP-IE Optional Patch Integrator v2.3.4.cmd like storahci.inf and storahci.sys (i then removed the lines of storahci.inf and storahci.sys, so there were only my new lines) ,

and i tried adding them with nlite,

i always get the same bsod (0x7B)
(when the win xp installer is trying to detect the hard drive) :

Good sunday Ramsey and members of zone62

If you plan to release another version of Windows XP IE later this year I have some suggestions that should serve as an improvement for the Windows XP IE desktop.

1-Replace Serpent/UXP with Centaury (in essence the two browsers are identical, only from different builds, but Centaury has two advantages: It has support for language packs and an automatic updates service)

    https://github.com/Feodor2/Centaury/releases/tag/0.13.0

2-Replace the progman.ex_ file with your version of Windows XP SP1 or RTM (the progman manager still has many fans). Basically the progman.exe that started to be distributed with windows xp since service pack 2 is a broken version, and the older version works perfectly.

    http://chorusofone.no-ip.org/computerstuff/Progman-XP.html

3-Replace the notepad.ex_ file with metapad.exe (you would need to rename the file), or add it to extras as an option (the original notepad has an annoying bug with the line break)

    https://liquidninja.com/metapad/

    Gadgets

4-Add the double desktop (dd.exe). It is a simple and discreet tool that creates a second clean workspace (useful when the taskbar is full or can also be used as a panic button)

    https://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/DoubleDesktop.shtml

5-Add IESHWIZ.EXE (from Windows 98 install CD). A utility to decorate folders with individual wallpapers.

6-Add Tweak UI (a userfriendly tool very useful to facilitate some administration tasks such as activating automatic logon and several others previously only possible using the registration editor)

7-Add the Power Calculator (useful especially for math students). I remember installing this on two computers for my school.

8-Add the Background changer (he creates a tab with a playlist for wallpapers in display properties)

    https://archive.org/download/somewinxpdownloads/powertoys_wpchanger.exe

9-Add the shortcut target menu, send to x, desktop menu, xmouse, contents menu, explore from here for Windows 95 power toys. These are tools that add several improvements to the usability of Windows XP, making it more fluid and practical.

    http://win95.retropc.se/win95-dec96-4/toys/toys.html

10-Add the taskbar shuffle (it allows you to move the buttons on the taskbar just like windows vista / 7 and close minimized windows with the mouse wheel, the icon in the system tray can be disabled and it continues to function as a background service ).

    https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/taskbar_shuffle.html

    Themes

11-Add the themes Royale, Royale Noir, Luna Element, Luna Element 5, flat luna and the Watercolor theme (the latter is a theme Windows Whistler)

Each theme has its own reason why I recommend them.

Watercolor and Royale noir are rare themes, watercolor maybe the rarest of the set. Many peoples have not used Windows XP media center edition or PosReady 2009 and are therefore not familiar with their themes, as I see Watercolor and royale noir joining this list. I recommend watercolor for yet another reason, it has a blue color tone that is gentle on the eyes, recommended for those who want something calmer.

About Royale and Luna element 5, your collection of themes already includes the royale remix and Luna element 5 black, not everyone likes dark themes, I could miss those I mentioned.

The flat luna provides a slightly more modern look to Windows XP without deviating too much from the original idea, I interpret it as a way to introduce Windows XP to modernity without detracting from it.

    https://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Themes/Royale-Theme-for-WinXP.shtml

    https://www.deviantart.com/alecu222/art/Watercolor-4-3-Visual-Style-506839342

And on the standard theme I recommend changing to the standard Windows XP theme, since its remastering is no longer called "black edition".

Well ... All are just suggestions, everything is optional, you can analyze, reflect, accept or reject many of these ideas as you wish. I would be happy just to see Centaury, the progman manager water color theme. I have been using Windows XP Be since 2016 and would just like to contribute as much as possible.

Good suggestion, but I'm sure Ramsey will always make the right choices for XP Integral. After all it is being maintained and developed by him!

      @Mark Yes, me too

"All are just suggestions, everything is optional..."

I know the style that ramsey uses to maintain Windows XP BE/IE over the years, an updated remaster with simple desktop improvements that should not exceed 700MB (in contrast to other remasterizations also called "Black edition" that include a lot of software that quickly gets outdated)

But like your good suggestion for a browser, Ramsey is always open to improvements after testing said software out for bugs etc.
