Please put the cherry on the Sundae and restore the sweet dignified startup screen to the pre-SP2 look with "Professional" and the "1985-2001".
I may crack the files and upload them here.
Please also bake in the copy of Bliss that has been extended to 16:9 with more parts of the field showing. Maybe the far left and right parts of the field was AI created.

@n Not really. People reported more problems/crashes with the 68.14.1b/2b versions than with the 68.13.7b version. And I didn't want to hold back WinXP-IE for another month.

Yepp, for me is the Mypal 68.13.7b browser also the most stable version,
      also more stable than Thorium

I'm having an issue with the setup process, for some reason it can't find "WinXPPx86IE - Setup.cmd" for the post-setup stuff, is there a way for me to grab this file from somewhere?

Appreciate the continuation project for keeping XP alive, however on my Haswell system when I try to enable the HC-Switch through updating the PCI bus driver it pops up a "New Hardware Found" dialog for a "USB Composite Device" during the next reboot when detecting my keyboard & mouse which no longer operate. It has no PS/2 ports to continue further, I tried alternating USB3 xHCI drivers and toggling UAS(P) within the Patch Integrator to no avail.

@Dood McMan Dood, kindly said, you're a real jackass for that.
Ramsey has been doing what he does for more than 15 years.
It all started with him needing to make a custom XP build for work purposes.
He had no obligation to share it with anyone.
Not me, not you, not anybody.
He could have kept it for himself...some of the best stuff out there will never see the light of day, but Ramsey has given these to us free of charge.
He does what he does for the love of it, and doesn't beg for money in return.

As for me, I'm still using the last 'Black Edition' (from 2015), because it works with everything I need to use it for and can still be installed on non-SSE2 processors.
It doesn't have all the updates, but it runs with the precision of a nuclear clock, even on my modest Pentium E6800 PC with 4GB of RAM, a slow HDD and old, temperamental DVD-RW drive.
It's fast, it's fully-featured, and it's reliable, just like every other build Ramsey has shared with us.

Someday I will have to update, whether I want to or not...and while I know I'm living on borrowed time, I am grateful to still be able to use XP as my 'daily driver'.
You will probably never understand the value of what Ramsey has given us, because you've conducted yourself with immaturity and ignorance, rather than gratitude and dignity.
      You just couldn't keep quiet.
You kept speaking up, and removed all doubt of your foolishness.

I'd tell you to take a good look at where it's gotten you, but it's too bad you won't see this.
I'm saying it anyway, because it needs to be said.

I wish you good luck in the future, and hope you'll be able to get the help you need.
You are clearly dealing with a mental illness, and it is sad that others must suffer for your stupidity.
People like you are why the rest of us are rarely able to have nice things, no less enjoy them.

@cmccaff1 I agree with everything you said, with the exception of Good Luck to doodie, but perhaps therapy can help him. (This place was less enjoyable to check for new comments with his shitposts all over.)

I also remember finding Black Edition (version 2015-04-19), on PB years ago, to be the first (the only?) nLite edition that was well done and with a great version history. In those days I still did my own slipstreams, but I checked the BE as a reference to improve my own.

When I first found XPi I didn't realize it came from the same source as BE, but I guess I should have from the quality. Now I no longer make my own dist, as I believe Ramsey does it better.

@cmccaff1 I think that person is dealing with than a garden variety 'mental illness!' It spammed this great site daily with utter nonsense, telling people what to do, Ramsey how to do his systems etc etc. A mission to annoy, insult and spew out trash on everybody. Good riddance to that Troglodyte creature!

@RamseyOk this is really strange and a bit scary for some people, I know I have never had any problems like this using Windows XP IE since 2016, but I have friends who are scared, what should I tell them?

@comrademt He has deliberately set this up to be infected by enabling the DMZ option in his Router and without installing the Windows XP Updates.
But still Windows XP should not be used as a main Operating System on the internet.

@comrademt Go ahead and connect any Windows directly to the internet without any kind of NAT/firewall going on, software or hardware.

That's basically how it is. Direct exposure of the host to the Internet is like sticking your cock in some ghetto hooker with no protection.

@comrademt What is it about? It seems to be blocked or taken down for me.

If it's anything like those two half-hour long security videos posted by the self-proclaimed "security nut" (posted some weeks back) it's just a testament of his lack of knowledge. (I was going to post a comment here about it, had no time.)

That said, Windows XP is much easier to secure than Windows 10/11, since those by design, was meant for easy access by outsiders. We live in a different world now and no matter how secure they claim those systems are, the fact they constantly roll out security patches, shows you had tons of security holes up until that point.

The difference between XP and newer Windows, is that XP was designed to be able to use as an embedded system in stereos, phones, ATMs etc, so it's possible to rip out everything you don't need, which makes your system insecure. That's impossible with Win11 and you need Company Enterprise version of Windows 10 to have even a small chance of semi-decent security (since big companies have higher demands). For everything else latest Windows is a honeypot.

@comrademt Ok, I watched the video and it was sort of fun in the same way watching Homer Simpson working at a nuclear plant can be fun.

TL;DR: Now I don't run default installations, but I doubt the fully patched will have the same weaknesses he had. He should have started with giving us the patchlevel (or at least "winver.exe"), "netstat -nab" and "sc query | find /I "display_name".

Turning off the XP firewall isn't a good idea for the average user. The average user will also hide behind NAT with a decent router and that removes a lot (unless your router is crap, given to you by the ISP).

As a sidenote, I enjoy having my XP machine on an open DMZ, and see about 6-7 connection attempts per minute fill the firewall log from various IP, testing odd port numbers. My (3rd party) firewall prevents them from connecting, even if they hit an open port.

He should have checked the parent process to conhoz.exe to see what service had started it. That service should probably be disabled. Pity he didn't do that. Also he doesn't know what the lines from procmon means, but he's probably not a windows user.

The number one security risk on your computer is usually the browser you use to surf the web and not attacks from the outside. Either browser or odd software you run, especially ".scr" screensavers. If you enjoy running the latest browsers (also most insecure), you should probably run it in a sandboxie profile and make sure it has "Restriction - Drop Rights" clicked.

Perhaps the sandboxie installer is something that should be included in the dist? Think 5.40.1 is the last for XP unless I missed something. [https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/tag/v5.40.1]

(I hate these styles of youtube vids. Would like to tell him to not just fire up recording device and chat away. Write a script, and make sure to proofread and edit it a few times.)

@comrademt with only windows integrated firewall should be ok, not running any AV since years, KAV AV just installed for  periodical checks, sometimes 24/7 connected online and sharing stuff... so i most admit you're not been really honest or you just want some unexperienced guys here to get panic, or maybe you work for Microsoft and need most people to get win11$$ ...all is possible....of course if you install any trashy soft out there you willl get more than that

@Algoflex It's 'nice' that 'MyPal' exists, but 'Thorium For XP' is INFINITELY better =)  The 'MyPal' guy should dump his project & instead use his time 2 enhance Thorium by giving it a compact interface like FireFox 52 with 'classic compact' mods, so everything is single spaced & can pack about 6X more features into the same space.  In the mean time, get Thorium & stop wasting your time goofing around with MyPal ~>

@Dood McMan You should learn how to programm, instead of telling others what to do.
And the thinks you find good is not what most people find good. And stop being stuck in the past and adapt to changes. And if you don't really play Video Games then there is NO point in using a Windows OS and you should use Linux Mint. But I guess then you don't have anything to Bitch about anymore and that's why this is not an option for you. 😅

@Ramsey I am not somebody who can be a good programmer because I do not have good 'random list memory'.  I can't even remember the times tables =))  I am very smart in other ways though so it all evens out =D  What U R saying is absurd, like 'U should become a chef instead of telling people what you like to eat' = ROFL!!  U act like a Lin-Tard with yor 'blame the user' nonsense =))  Also, iHave no interest in gaming, & the reason Linux Mint is krap is many things, like they deliberately remove stuff just because doesn't 'look' consistent, & has infinitely worse graphics & stuff than Nobara Linux, but the ideal thing is 2 have a bare metal hypervisor with several operating systems running 'in the background' transparent 2 the user, so they can launch apps in a 'container' style so everything 'just works' =)

Pretending 2 think 'Linux Mint' will solve these problems is just you being a lazy jerk instead of trying 2 fix the problems.  iOffer 2 pay U & U ignore me, which is up 2 U of course, but U should spread the word around.  Thanks 2 people like me Media Player Classic (which you like) exists =)  It's not about 'stuck in the past' but 'use what's best', & 'newer doesn't mean better' =D

Nothing will ever B perfect.  It's a process of 'refinement' & 'enhancement', like U should 4 example permanently disable all forms of Windows updating by default while installing, by rolling the 'Sordum Update Blocker' into your Win 10 & 11 stuff ~>
Wen U don't do this, Windows instantly destroys itself the instant it goes online, becoming a moving target of malware 'infection' from Micro$hit & their forced DOWNgrades always 'calling home' 4 the latest $abotage, same way Bill Gate$ promotes the (((Clot $hots))) ~>

U R dealing with people who literally want 2 exterminate U, so it's a matter of sifting out the poison from the operating system 2 B left with something infinitely more usable =D  Just because

@Dood McMan Anyone can do anything if they want to. I had to create this deployment Windows a long time ago for my work because I couldn't find anything on the internet that was done correctly and wasn't just done by kids using nLite/NTLite that removed components that shouldn't be removed or disabled services that shouldn't be disabled.

And anyone that tells me disabling the Windows Update for all users is a good thing lost all credibility. I also  never had problems with the Windows Updates since Windows XP. But on the other hand the Windows AntiVirus that deletes you files without asking that's a reall problem.

And if Linux Mint can't solve your problem, then I think the problem is not the Operating System but YOU. The same thing, that you still can't use normal writing, but likes to anyone people with your cryptic writing.

I couldn't find anything on the internet that was done correctly and wasn't just done by kids using nLite/NTLite that removed components that shouldn't be removed or disabled services that shouldn't be disabled.

For this reason, I too believe that there are no other good builds for Windows XP yet other than XP Integral Edition.
But Server 2003 SP2 x86 does require some services to be disabled. This is true if using 2003 as a replacement for XP.
