Hello all, maybe someone can help me?
I have a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C motherboard. Every driver worked fine until I reinstalled Integral Edition. Since then, the audio drivers don't load and there is a conflicting PCI Device under System Devices in Device Manager. Help would be appreciated.

      @ItepK
your board officially supports XP, so first go to your motherboards driver page and get all the drivers installed.

@infuscomus Sorry, I forgot to mention that I've already tried to install them. The installer goes trough the steps, but even after restarting, nothing loads. I also had this problem with a similar motherboard with a similar chipset.

    Hi Ramsey & Dietmar,

OK! I got past the 9F BSOD and storport 8.1 is booting!

but still needs further testing to determine stability.

@Dietmar Would it better if i put back the Win7 NVMe as the default choice (2)?
    • This commment is unpublished.
@Ramsey Yes, because the Microsoft nvme vers. 2.0
      is much more stable.
I run prime95 and a lot of tests all the time together,
no crash on the via stornvme.sys vers. 2.0

@Dietmar Do we even need all those NVMe drivers? Looks like the Silicon NVMe drive dose not add anything more than the others.
    • This commment is unpublished.
@Ramsey The Silicon nvme driver is very generic.
So, for to test, if you can boot XP via an nvme device, it is nice.
But not to be stable is a no go in my eyes, when you use XP for daily work.
In my eyes no need for it and also not for the Kai Schtrom 1.5 nvme.sys .
On the other hand, where is a problem to keep them,
      have a nice evening

@Ricardo Jose You actually have xp  sp2 64 bit? Interesting. Adding 64 bit updates, if available? resulting in equivalent of the last Integral 32 bit version we have on offer is probably a very tall order or is it? I'm not qualified to answer, but Ramsey would have replied if this possible/feasible I'm sure.

      @Grissa No. you can not.
    • This commment is unpublished.
@Grissa I wouldn't ever consider doing anything that involves the BIOS unless you ABSOLUTELY know what you're doing. There have been cases where users literally bricked their motherboards due to a bad BIOS update. A failed BIOS flash can literally make your PC unusable...and that sucks enough on its own, but sucks even worse if you invested a lot of money into the PC (well into the hundreds, or even thousands).

Unless you have a valid reason to update it, I wouldn't even consider touching the BIOS. I'll update a lot of things on a PC--maybe put in a video or sound card, though I do fine with integrated graphics/audio--but the BIOS is one thing I NEVER touch. Sometimes there are valid reasons to update the BIOS...but you need to make absolutely sure that the update is compatible, and that you have a clear and well-defined reason for updating.

T.L.D.R. - If your PC is still working, don't do ANYTHING else with the BIOS! No updates, no firmware, no nothing...just leave it alone! Trust me on this!

      Dietmar
    • This commment is unpublished.
@Grissa maybe you have options that are not compatible, you need to tweak or properly set up your bios to make x86 XP compatible, this dsen;t mean you need to upgrade or flash your bios, just check the options it has, maybe you're missing something

    Hi Ramsey,

I'm gonna try and implement Windows 8 Power Framework functionality into the ntoskrnl extender to get windows 8 storport to work for XP - This Framework is the reason why Mov defaulted to the windows 7 storport, no framework means easier to work with. - Although I don't know if I'll succeed in implementing it, I'll at least try.

Any ETA on the next integral Edition release?

@infuscomus Will be interesting to see if this works better than the Win7 storport.sys file. 🙂

The base WinXP-IE is already done only waiting to finish up the Patch Integrator.
I also found out that all Time Stamp Server dropped the SHA1 support and now using the SHA256 instead. This is a problem, because the Windows XP Setup doe not support SHA256. So now I've removed the Time Stamp from the 9-WXPIE.cat file.

      EDIT:
Here is anther Patch Integrator beta. Changelog:

      @Ramsey Hi,
I notice, that you delete the AMD Sata 337 driver.
But this driver is needed ( the 402 version is different).
For new AMD boards only those 337 or 402 drivers works

Can someone help with my addon?
I've created a Windows Media Player 11 Addon for Server 2003, but I can't match the Hardware IDs in the INF. I would like to modify MTP support to support Server 2003. Now the XP2ESD project is affected.
You can use Windows Media Player 11, but not MTP Android Support.
    2 files ptpusb.inf and WMPMTP.INF
I tested it using XP's ptpusb.inf, it works, but still can't install. and the service file WMPMTP.INF
I would like to consult someone who can help me.

    Server 2003 x86 's ptpusb.inf sees the phone as a camera.

Dietmar I would like to contact you.

Windows Media Player 11 actually runs on Server 2003.

@MilkChan @Ramsey @Diemar Do you know why the MTP Driver from WMP 11 is not working on Server 2003 x86? I tried to fix the INF but it failed.

@MilkChan I never played around with Windows Server 2003. But a Windows XP 32-bit INF file and a Windows Server 2003 32-bit INF file should work on both systems. So this looks more like a binary file problem.

@Ramsey Thank you for your advice. Some services are not working on Server 2003, now I test with my smartphone, it works fine.
Some inf files in Server 2003 I had to edit them.

    Dietmar,

I resolved the missing imports for Windows 8.0 storport.sys
It seems to work with storahci in a VM at least, please test on real hardware for NVMe

P.S I reverted to patch integrator 3.3.2 for known working base.

      @infuscomus Hi,
I build a brandnew  *.iso with your Patch Integrator with storport.sys from win8.

      Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition 2022.6.16 (Customized Option; 2,3,4,6,7,A,C,D,E,G).iso

This I set up on the z690 Asrock Extreme board.
Because I also want to know, if with your nice DSDT modd, the crash of most browsers
on this platform, because of the splitting in power and efficience cores, is gone.
      Soon I report

      @infuscomus Hi,
your storport.sys from win8 works together with the Kai Schtrom Sata driver, nice!
In this Sata driver from Kai I see, that it is direct linked to ntoskrnl.exe and your new storport. sys for win8.

What is with the other drivers, that have been linked before to ntoskrn8.sys and storpor8.sys

any luck working with my 8.0 storport.sys and NVMe?
    • This commment is unpublished.
@infuscomus Hi, your storport.sys from win8 works for the Sata from Kai with working SMART,
for USB3 from Move (not Life USB),
      and for the Silicon nvme.

Works not for Microsoft nvme 2.0, 2.2.
Energy is not correct treated: In Energy settings you can only choose the Monitor but not HD time for switch off.
This has the effect, that message appears, when you shut the compi down,
that the power for HD is lost.

But it is a great work anyway!
Interesting, that you go back to do the things without ntoskrn8.sys
      Dietmar

PS: Now I test the behavior of Browser crash with your DSDT patch via Asl5.

    Hi,
I just make an universal XP SP3 on your June 2022 version.
It boots really every compi, that I have.
For this, I use as base my german XP SP3, integrate there the updates until May 2014 and all POSready also via Nlite.
This Iso I rename to yours
     Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition 2022.6.16 (Vanilla).iso
and then I use your Patch Integrator.
Via this way I recogniced also, that for the Dell Optiplex 780 only the original acpi.sys works, others give Bsod 0x7F kerneltrap.
For me the most important is, that the whole install of XP SP3 is now less than 15 min. The size of my xp.iso with the updates is 864 Mb, which is a downside,
but it really contains everything from the original XP CD.

Very much I hope, that this nice compatibility stays in your next version.
And it is a good idea, to let the user choose, which driver he needs.

On all z690 boards I notice a strange behavior for all USB drivers:
Some USB devices are not recogniced.
So, an USB driver from win 8.1 would be nice, but we dont have.
In this case, only an USB card with the driver from the Manufactorer helps,
best are those from VIA or Asmedia for XP

@Dietmar The compatibility will stay, it works with any Windows XP SP3 Pro ISO file.

Below is also a new Patch Integrator version.
The Microsoft NVMe drive will probably be removed in the next version because i think it doesn't support Setup Installation and gives an error after the final boot.

If you have a computer with an SD+MMC device build-in, then you could try out the new Microsoft SD+MMC driver on a fresh installation and see if it passes the installation without errors.

      EDIT:
      New Patch Integrator beta version.

      @Ramsey Hi,
this nvme version from Move supports to boot from nvme and it is the only driver,
that works always on any nvme device

@Dietmar Can you also install Windows XP on a NVMe drive with it? Because that's what's not working according to some users.
    • This commment is unpublished.
@Ramsey It is not the nvme driver, that you use.
I am not good in building Setup CDs,
but only with this driver you have a chance.
I boot XP from any nvme via this driver, even compi from 2009.
Not so difficult, because only storport.sys has to be at the right places,
      as @daniel_k describes
      Dietmar

PS: Start=0 and Group System Reserved, storport.sys integrate, thats all and works.
