Beta software in Windows XP integral edition

    Why ?  🤔

Stanisław Przedzinkowski · 3 years ago
    @Ransey
    Hello.
I wanted to thank you for this amazing project.
I wanted to ask you if it would be possible to add the NVDA screen reader to gui setup portion, so that blind people like me can install this using a good screen reader instead of crappy narrator which doesn't read the checkbox lables on the patch integrator screen.
Maybe add a script that plays something like "If you're a blind user, press enter to start the NVDA screen reader" and a sighted user can just click cancel/no on the screen that appears with the NVDA prompt to not enable this.
If it's not possible then that's okay, just going to have to deal with installing this using narrator and screen recognition with my iPhone.
The latest version of NVDA compatible with WXP is 2017.3.

      @Stanisław Przedzinkowski
Unfortunately adding this tool will make the ISO file to big to fit on a 700 MB Disc.
Even if the NVDA screen reader is installed that doesn't always mean the sound drivers is too. 😁
I think using a Smartphone App to install a Operating System is the best way to go in this kind of scenario.

@Grissa Don't waste your time trying to find tools to make your PC faster. This will not work only an hardware change will fix that.

@Ramsey So you don't believe in TRIM & defragmenter software? While I also have no faith in PC boosting software in general, at least I believe TRIM & defragmenting software to be legitimate program that optimize drives longevity & to a minor degree, boost drive speed.

@Grissa You mean Iobit Smart Defrag? Yes that's a good TRIM & defragmentation program. Another good one is Auslogics Disk Defrag and/or Defraggler.

i need add some application bcause i have to do same installation with few computers too

      infuscomus · 3 years ago
@Rel you'll need to use nlite.

      Alex · 3 years ago
@Rel @Rel so I tried your option to add some more programs in Options Selector and it worked partially to say (2 out of 3 programs worked)  only that it needs to be installed manually.
The whole operation did not take long, "OEM \ RunOnce \ Scripts \ Windows XP Integral Edition - Options Selector.hta" had to be modified, put the programs in "OEM \ RunOnce \ Programs" and written with WinSetupFromUSB without having to create another ISO.

Can this version be installed on GPT partition?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Rei · 3 years ago
@Trung No. On 32-bit, GPT requires at least Win8 and UEFI if used as a boot drive, while on 64-bit, you'd need at least Vista and UEFI. WinXP doesn't support GPT.

      Wilson S · 3 years ago
@Grissa If you're using the standard, non-micro SD card then check the lock switch at the left side of the card, is the position locked (down)? If so then switch it to the unlocked position (up).
Otherwise it's probably either the SD card or the card reader's fault. If the SD card reader is connected through USB (most of laptop internal SD card readers are also USB-based anyway unless if you're using high end models) then check if your USB drivers are OK.

@Grissa Its a god damn full blown OS - installation onto drive in system on SATA II from iso file trough Hasleo Win to HDD tok almost 2 hours and then when connected the target drive on 4 core Phenom II with 8 GB ram to 1-st boot up took astonishing 45 min with the crappy box questioning about wanting/having/amoust a must to to subscribe to MS Cloud. Its a god damn demand ! We dont want that kind of crap ! If MS want to run everything in the cloud then we don't need a hardware power PC at home - its merely enough to buy a terminal hot-plug it on internet and there u go ! Everything MS cloud ! This release is a full blown crap - wasted my time and nerves in the process. OS is slow as hell ! Where is so advertised speed of win10 ??? Its gone ! MS is able to kill it before user can enjoy it ! Windows is getting worse and worse !
A word to the user who posted that crap - waste of time - and my nerves !

LOL, mate... You're posting on the wrong thread of the wrong section, but whatever floats your anti-Microsoft boat, I guess.

Ramsey I had some permissions issues with formatting 64gb usb flash drives- getting write protect warning. How do I change permissions in XP to remove write protect? Even using Ratool 1.4 did not solve it.

Also after formatting to 32gb fat32 or 64gb ntfs the usb drives still showed up as corrupt in Android 10. Thanks for any advice.

If you turn of this option below then you will get more permissions options:
Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> Use simple file sharing

@Grissa I have the same problem. It happens always when I try to open some video on YouTube. I have approximately 5 seconds lag and completely no response before video starts. I'm using latest New Moon.

@Grissa If your YouTube video is lagging, this is a common issue in processors with no SSE4.2 / AVX and video cards made before 2016. Maybe install H264ify or something to prevent the lag?

@Grissa If you start the installation procedure and there is no Repair option, only format, then you can't fix that system. (not with an easy way anyway)

Just to ask and I'm only curious... will there be any more updates for this version of windows? if not, then thank you for keeping this alive for a long as possible.
