    Hi,
I have a question which I can't find an answer on the web.
I would like to slipstream a language pack in the ISO, as my native language is not English, where can I find a guide for this issue? Or perhaps someone could help me?
    Much thanks in advance.

      Ramsey · 6 years ago
@Mox There is no easy way of doing this. Excerpt by using the "WinXP-IE Options Selector" with a Unattended install command, if the executable Language Pack file is supporting this.

@Ramsey Could I use nLite to implement a langpack or is it only supported by the 64 bit version?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 6 years ago
@Mox No nLite doesn't support this.

@Ramsey Oh ok, change of topic.
How do I make a product key already written at the moment of installation, so if I lose it it will always be there?
Is there any way to erase the WPA from the installation files (ISO), thus I don't have to worry for activation?
      Then I'm done nagging you.

@Mox You can change the default CD-Key in the file "WINNT.SIF" located in the ISO/Disc directory "..\I386".

@Ramsey Sorry but I can't seem to find the file "WINNT.SIF". There is only WINNT.EXE.

May I request some mass storage driver updates for the next release?

@Ramsey There are newer versions of the included drivers - ASMedia, AMD

I found a RAID (not AHCI) driver that works with Ryzen - requires a fair bit if work to get going though - Win2003 Storport, KMDF, setupreg.hiv and hivesys.inf edits

An AMD USB 3.1 driver too

There is also an unofficial ACPI driver mod over on WinRAID

I use K-Lite Codec with MPC HC built-in even on XP even though they abandoned current XP support. PotPlayer actually stole a lot of code from MPC HC also. I would add the K-Lite Codec with MPC HC as the default media player to at least the Windows 10 .ISO builds. It's not as pretty as PotPlayer, but the file support is the best that I've ever seen in a free media player.

      Ramsey · 6 years ago
PotPlayer is based on MPC and it's also Open Source. You can also do a lot more with PotPlayer than with K-Lite Codec Pack, like Screen and Webcam Recording, TV Playback, and more.

Viva, Ramsey. I can't run Inkscape because dwrite.dll is missing. I've look for it in the iso image and I couldn`t find it either... Is that normal?

this might be a good generic AHCI driver for AMD Ryzen on XP - I'll test this tomorrow to see if it works.

I have a mac book air 2012 or 13, i have cleaned its ssd and now i can install win 7 SP0 Untouched on it without any problem,

I am not using bootcamp cos i macbook only has 128 gb ssd and macos takes a lot space and this way i can even install ubuntu,
i want to install xp on it as it only has 4 gb ram and 128 ssd winxp will be much faster, as it has 4 gb ram i tried winxp64 bit with nlite and adding drivers from installed windows 7,

but it doesn't shows installer as windows 7 and newer use bootmgr for loading and your winxp IE (january 2019) and the 64 bit i made with nlite both i tried but they didn't loaded the installation screen, so i installed them on one other core2duo desktop and cloned the partition on my mac but is still didn't worked is shows blue screen while booting i think ssd driver issue
I the tried posready 2009 and was able to install it as it used .wim file for installation so i used imagex and bcdboot but it also didn't booted and i don't know how to add drivers in it.
Then i made a livexp with winbuilder's gena project in build wim option and then extracted/applied on my macbook ssd and that worked but its a live os i think it worked because it also had integrated driver pack solution.

As its a live os i am now tired of using it and as i searched for best available winxp today i found links to zone62 i have tried cloning winxp IE to my ssd from other pc and it didn't worked i also tried keeping driver ini/inf files in mentioned path

But installtion screen doen't loads so i don't know of your scripts are running and cloning didn't helped too

Nor can i access safemode in cloned access to try something else.

Please can you guide me how to add apple drivers in xp32/64 installation source or a way to convert your winxp IE in install.wim type installation source.

@Nik Ramesy if you are making winxp IE april 2019 the final edition as the posready 2009 updates will stop, why not switch to .wim from .cab that way winxp IE april/final will be use full for a long time for lots of people (apple owners) like me i think i have seen this implementation some where before magents came in .torrent file extention era. Some has released an xp with wim installation method.

@Nik You should use Windows 10 64-bit for you Computer. Because you have to also include the RAM of your Graphic Card and Windows XP doesn't natively supports SSD TRIM so you have to do that manually.

@Ramsey I use win xp for programs like cmlay.exe which don't work on later windows and can't use them in vm or dosbox as they work on com ports with chips which can't be added to vm via usb(tried already has usb revision problem) so xp is my only option and i don't need graphics for my work too if i ever need that i can make a WindowsToGo from your latest win10 IE at that time. Now i don't have any requirement as my programs don't work on newer os.

@Nik Just tried your 32 and 64 bit windows 10 and my programs did't worked in it even with compability settings. So xp is my only option

@Nik Well then it looks like you stuck to the good old Windows XP.. The only think you have to do if you use Windows XP on an SSD is aligning the SSD partition for example with the tool "MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition". And to TRIM your SSD you can use the tool "Intel SSD Toolbox".

    (#) Windows XP Tweaks:

    * Pre-Configured Windows XP Settings - {Optional}.
    * Pre-Configured Program Settings - {Optional}.

Can you give me more information about that tweaks? (maybe a list).

@Serkan Ovat Only a few default settings are changed to make everything a bit easier and user friendlier. You can open the files in the ISO/Disc folder "..\OEM\RunOnce\Settings". with a Text Editor to see which settings are applied.

@Harwn You have two solutions for this problem:
      1. Don't use "Easy Install" in VMWare, it will overwrite a WinXP config file.
      2. Use a valid WGA CD-K3ys from the text file In the ISO/Disc folder "..\OEM\WinXPPx86IE".
