    I used this for my fujitsu lifebook n3530 (originally came with winxp) and it works great! I wanted to downgrade from Windows 7 for a while. I got all the original drivers off of shopfujitsu.com! Thank you for making this and making an awesome README!

    Hello my english is bad because not my mother tongue but I have some questions. I installed this XP on one of my modern SATA PCs and it works and is satisfied. I installed the MUI french language pack but my WMP11 remains in English and cannot find the MUI for this version? And also I have another computer but this one I don't want all formatted it already has XP with all the updates but has only a driver "AMD RAID compatible AHCI" but I want to remove this driver by the one in the archive here which is done by "reactos" with universal sata "without raid" and I tried to install and I got a bsod and said that a .sys file is missing then that was in the folder How do I use this driver on a pc already in xp with sata already activated?

    Ramsey would you add back the previously used Unlocker software along with the IObitlocker in next Integral build? The IObitlocker cannot unlock attached external hard drives, it can only unlock USB or normal files on the drives. Only Unlocker seems to have this function!

    Also would you replace Potplayer with VLC. I having similar issues like freezing, very slow to load whatever renderer I use. Potplayer support is abysmal. Or how about Foobar instead? Thanks my friend.

      Ramsey · 5 years ago
      @Pensioner I will test that with IObitlocker. And did the VLC Player run on your PC without a problem?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Rei · 5 years ago
      @Pensioner You could download it here (http://unlocker.emptyloop.com) if you're looking for the Unlocker installer. It's just that it's no longer in development, which is why it was replaced. Just keep both program.

      Try Winamp or Media Player Classic - Home Cinema.

      @Ramsey Ramsey I'm using a portable version of VLC from 2018. The current installer of VLC didn't work for me in xp. That said even Potplayer and any media player struggles immensely to play h265 in my platform. I even have the latest desktop with Win10 onboard and that stutters when decoding h265. I only play avi or preferably h264 these days.

      Cannot utilise benefits of hevc at all. I attempted to encode it once and gave up. Tortuous codec format! Luckily I have a few laptops with xp compatible hardware, unfortunately my desktop cannot only handle win8 or Win7 as another system.

      @Pensioner
      A lot of old Windows XP computers will struggle to decode a x265 video codec with 1080p+.
      Which one of those works the best on your old computers Foobar2000 or K-Lite 13.8.5 Mega ?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Pensioner · 5 years ago
      @Ramsey Hi Ramsey. I'd have to say the last build of K-Lite for XP works the best allroundallround for stability. I tried Foobar but abandoned it as its replaygain would not tag ogg files. Thanks.

      @Pensioner Good, then i will re-add the K-Lite Codec Pack in the next release.

    please read this security blog from malwarebytes

    https://blog.malwarebytes.com/security-world/technology/2017/11/when-you-shouldnt-trust-a-trusted-root-certificate/

    and check if your windows xp integral edition 2020.5.5 has a root certificate authority named zone 54

    use the official windows versions from microsoft it is much more safe than unofficial versions like integral edition

    if you are still not convinced then install panda dome listed in the recommended programs.txt file in desktop and

    Goto: START -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Windows File Protection.cmd

    be safe :)

      @syam ReadMe file ->
      * All Patched and Modified files are all digitally signed with a custom certificate.

      And this was done to avoid any problems with the System File Checker.

      And this article is also a click-bait. You could also name the Certificate "Microsoft" and you wouldn't even notice it You should learn how to setup a good BotNet and then you will see how a real Stealth Virus works. (bandit)

      @syam I suggest that you do not use Integral then.

      @syam Integral is as safe as houses so to speak. A lot of meticulous work by Ramsey has gone into it to ensure safety and security. Don't use it if you feel so strongly. Your statement is quite erroneous in context.

    Pot player crashes and freezes on playing audio files. It causes interface of XP to freeze and be unresponsive. Also very slow loading video files. I had to uninstall and revert back to Media Player HC 1.7.1.3
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Jacko · 5 years ago
      @Jacko Forgot to add. If you load audio files through another program eg Mp3Gain and click on to play. Potplayer freezes but Media player HC does not. Also Potplayer screws up GUI interface navigating of XP. Clicking on video files causes weird lined box to appear and it drags or becomes smaller and bigger. Only safe mode restore worked for me. Potplayer is very dodgy and bug ridden code. Also it contacts Daum servers stealthily for update check? Firewall logs show this.
    • This commment is unpublished.

      @Jacko Didn't have this problem. Not that I'd know much since I primarily use K-Lite Codec Pack / Media Player Classic. Did you try updating the software to the latest? Also this isn't the place to post your software issues. That should go to the PotPlayer forum or their tech support.

      @Rei Hey buddy, that's harsh, I think Jacko is making a point of Potplayer being unstable with current version of Integral in His system, bios, hardware etc. As a matter of fact I upgraded to latest version and have seen similar issue Jacko mentioned in xp. So we should both get onto to Potplayer support eh and moan to them to make it work better for us?

      Potplayer team respond very little to bug reports if at all and any software problem has everything to do with here when those things will be XP/Win10 based after an install and could be 32 bit or 64 bit related or just bad code of the said software! It works for you and many others so good for you!

      @Jacko
      I tested it and i could play a .mp3 direct from Mp3Gain with PotPlayer.
      And the video problem could be a wrong PotPlayer setting at the "Video Renderer" option.

      Your problem could also be caused by a hardware incompatibility. I would first try the VLC Player because the last MPC version for Windows XP is very old.

      @Ramsey Thanks Ramsey. I think it could be my hardware too. That said ive had nothing but trouble with Potplayer and in other pc's. I will give VLC a look. Appreciate your feedback mate. (y)

      @Your Momma! Not my intention to be harsh. It is however common sense to go to the appropriate forum for help as PotPlayer is still supporting WinXP, so yes.. You "should both get onto to Potplayer support eh and moan to them to make it work better for us" as you put it. Last time I checked, they have a forum section, which means they will also have a community of like-minded user with similar issue who can better assist individuals if there are any problems with said specific software.

    Is it me or when clicking on any comment in the latest comments section it doesn't redirect to the said comment, but only to the page? IIRC it used to behave different.
    Was gonna post it on quack it but it seems that it doesn't exist anymore. Why is that? :?

      @Guest16346 I accidentally overwritten the fixed code and now i have to redo it. :(

      @Guest16346 Huh... I thought I was the only one who had that bug/issue. I also thought it was cuz of using firefox fork. If that wasn't the case, then... *insert answer here*
      Maybe the quack it section was used often & was a waste of space, so it was removed.
      I do like the captcha though. Ease to read & write & the words are simple. Though i dunno why I had to type "sexfiend" that one time it came up. Was there such word in the system?

      @Rei
      Yep the "Quack It" section was replaced by the "Web Links" section.
      And the captcha letters are generated from your browser history. :D

      Rei · 5 years ago
      @Ramsey Really?!? How does that work? It kinda seems like the letters have nothing to do with anything in my browser history. I also don't lookup porn or anything "sexfiend" related online.

      @Guest16346 Sorry, that went over my head... Can you clarify? Also, emotes & emojis are disabled on my browser, so they just show up as symbols.

    Hi,thank you very much for yr integral version of XP,which is quite efficient and lightweight for old PC,even if it can seem pretty obsolete...but I wanna ask you how could I use the PAE patch 2.0 (and where I can find) to increase the limit of RAM from 3.5 to 4.0 MB?

    Would it be practical for you to write a "how-to" guide for people who want to make their own Integral Editions from original legit Microsoft media? I've just formatted my laptop's hard drive and reinstalled Win7 and I'd do anything to skip this "install 1 or 2 updates, reboot, install 1 or 2 more updates, reboot again, repeat 500 times" hell.

      @Katie Boundary Why do you not simply use Windows 10?

      @K-T Alright... We get it.... That's why we are here on this site downloading WinXP. No need to rub it in.
      But just you know, Win10 is for those who want to keep their systems up-to-date, protected & optimal. It is also the best in the NT6 line.

      @Rei False. Win7 is the best of the NT6 line.

    I might be the the odd one out here but I installed this on an old lenovo thinkpad R61 and I've had wifi network issues ever since, anyone else had this issue - or is it unrelated? (drivers installed etc)

      Ramsey · 5 years ago
      @Anders And what is the issue exactly?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Anders Pinkerton · 5 years ago
      @Ramsey Sorry I don't know why I was so vague - brain's a bit fried. My laptop won't create an i.p address and connect over wifi to the internet. It is fine hard-wired. When I try to ipconfig/release ipconfig/renew it runs into a DHCP error, even though all services are running. I've checked drivers, no issues with unknown devices etc. Winsock also fails, so I've been unable to run that method as a fix. If you've got any ideas that would be great - hoping its not just my system. It was working correctly with windows 7 previously.

      @Anders Pinkerton This looks like a driver problem. Did you try to find the latest Windows XP driver for your WLAN Device?
