re: GPT & Large HDD support
well, finally got some time again and managed to get the USB3.0 on my Ivy Bridge Xeon Board (C216) up and running. Interestingly, all it took was to install the backported ACPI.SYS (the ACPI 2.0 environment). With this, the Microsoft USB3.0 standard driver from your Patch Integrator worked decently.

I verified correct IO speeds over USB 3.0 with Crystal Disk Mark Benchmark on an USB 3.0 capable USB stick, which was twice as fast in an USB3.0 port compared to USB2.0 ports.

So far the system is now running smoothly. The only feature missing so far appears to be GPT and Large HDD support. I installed a Backplane in the Dell Precision T1650 case and connected the ports to an internal SATA board - I tried a cheapo SATA-II card (with SIL3531 chip) and also a SATA-III interface (with ASMedia ASM1064 chip). Found working drivers for Win_XP for both.

Well, accessing a HDD on the backplane (IcyBox IB-158) works. No problem with an 1TB  Seagate Constellation ES.3 drive (MBR partitioned). However an HGST 8GB drive (GPT partition) couldn't be read, neither could a Toshiba 18TB GPT formatted "CLoudScale" drive be read. Both GPT partitioned drives show no drive letter, nor any device in the "Drive Management" panel.  And that despite having installed the Paragon GPT driver you supplied in "EXTRAS" inside the PATCH INTEGRATOR directory..

any idea what I'm missing here ?

    best to you

@Maxx (from Austria) Which Beta version did you use. Looks like everyone has difference experiences with this HC-Switch driver.
Here is also a newer GPT driver. https://pixeldrain.com/u/U7foffvj

Well it wasn't required to use these USB3 HC Switch drivers. The Acpi.sys 2.0 supplied in the Patch integrator 3.5.0 alone did the trick - plus the Microsoft USB 3.0 standard driver ! Once I swapped the ACPI.SYS, the USB3.0 hub device appeared in the device manager. And the standard Microsoft 3.0 driver from your patch integrator fitted perfectly.

      thanks for the link !

      kind regards

      OK,
tried the newer GPT driver (ver 11.0), unfortunately without any success .. my 4TB HGST drive (GPT partitioned) still can't be read. I tried it on the SIL3531 controller and also on an Internal Intel SATA-II port (Intel driver from 2012). To no avail ..

      kind regards

@Maxx (from Austria) Here are 2 more GPT drivers. That's all there is now for Windows XP. https://send.cm/d/fiuF

@Ramsey re: GPT drivers for WinXP & large HDDs
funny ... the GPT drivers appear to work ... all of them ... if I keep it to a 1TB drive. To test, I formatted an 1TB drive with a GPT partiton on Win7 - the GPT drivers on WinXP had no problems accessing this HDD. Which means that the GPT resolver works nicely within WinxP. At least with drives smaller than 2TB.

The problems appear to be centered on the "Large HDD" issue. WinXP Integral apparantly can't access my 4TB HDD (HGST) and neither my 18TB HDD (Toshiba MG09). Interestingly, Win7 had no problem whatsoever to access these Large HDD with the same controller (SIL3531)

      take care

      Hi Ramsey,
I succeed with full USB3 at once, when I put hi.reg before last reboot in Registry by hand.
      For this I use original B15 with settings 1, 3, 5, A, E, G.
But USB mouse hangs. No Bsod.

So, this 1 extra line in ENUM acpi for Lower Filter iusb3hcs.sys under pci.sys
is very difficult to handle for XP.

When I integrate hi.reg after last reboot with regini.exe, USB3 works after one reboot and not hanging USB mouse. In this case, no problem at all

Here is the Patch Integrator v3.6.RC4:
    1. Added Intel USB3 HC-Switch with ACPI v5048.
    2. Corrected the Intel SATA HWID.

@Ramsey Thanks ;) But there are some weird things: two ISOs prepared with Options "3,5,7,A,D,E,G,I" and "5,7,A,D,F,G,I" but in both cases the PS/2 keyboard doesn't work so I'm blocked on the first screen where the enter key is needed. Tried with two different boards without success.

Never happened before. I also tried one more time the ISO prepared with the Patch Integrator v3.6.R3 and the PS/2 keyboard works fine.
The issue depends on the new two entries "E" and "F". Without selecting them the PS/2 keyboard starts to work as usual.

And the PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_43D2&CC_0106 is still missing.

Here is a new version, B12.
I now added the Intel USB3 HC-Switch to the "Boot Bus Extender" entry.
And the Generic HWID for the Intel SATA Controllers is already added (PCI\VEN_8086&CC_0106).

@Ramsey Thanks. I'll try it in the afternoon.
The Hardware ID above reported is still missing in the iaAHCI.inf of the Universal Intel RST Drivers+Software v11.2.0.1006.2.

Which "Compatible Ids" dose your SATA Controller have?

      Hi Ramsey,
the generic HW ID does not work for those Sata controllers.
Take a look at the modded driver 1006 for Biostar, which I send to you 2 years ago.
The Decide ID for the z590 board has to be treaten the same.

      Dietmar

PS: For the USB switch, you have to decide between 2 scenaries:
Boot possible with them or not. If boot should be, you have to use System Reserved for this driver and start = 0. In any other way no changes to the *.inf of this driver is needed.

      Ramsey · 1 years ago
@Dietmar Dose the "PCI\VEN_8086&CC_010601" HWID also not work on this Z590 Chips? If not, could you post all the HWID's you know that should be added separately?

Forgot about the "System Reserved", I will prepare a Beta version with that one too.

@Eduard If you don't use WinXP-IE then this won't work and you have to add everything manually.
Open the files "DOSNET.INF" and "TXTSETUP.SIF" and see the WXPIERO entries.

Hi Ramsey, there is a new PORTABLE Chrome Browser for XP, which is best browser of all until now, gives 528 Points in HTML5 test

@Dietmar I know this one. But it's only a portable version. The 360Loader.exe file is missed a function to pass on the Chrome CMD commands (--user-data-dir) to the 360chrome.exe file.

      Hi Ramsey,
there is also a brandnew version of the Basilisk (Serpent) browser.
This version plays all videos now again and works also with ChatGPT and Bard Ai.
And it seems to be the fastest if all the browsers for XP

      Hi Ramsey,
these 3 Browsers are very different.

For daily use I prefer on XP SP3 the MyPal browser from Feodor.

On second place I would put the new Basilisk browser.
On third place, only when you want to get access to a website,
where the message is shown up
      "Your Browser is too old"
      the new 360 Chrome browser

      EDIT:
The new Basilisk browser for XP SP3 needs about 30% of CPU power and so a lot of websites hang

@Eduard It still not opening the WinXP-IE Options Selector in a original Windows XP Integral Edition installation of a original Windows XP copy. What I should do after I copy WXPIERO.inf and WXPIERO.CM_ files from Integral Edition i386 in the i386 folder from a original Windows XP copy?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 1 years ago
@Eduard The "WXPIERO.inf" file will start the file "WXPIERO.cmd" at the end of the installation. And the "WXPIERO.cmd" file will search for the "WinXPPx86IE - Setup.cmd" file in all the drives and folders.

re: USB 3.0 for Windows XP Integral Edition (Intel Z77 / C216 Chip)
I did everything as instructed, however I still cannot make this USB 3.0 Intel driver work on my XP Integral Installation. I installed the MISC files, I Installed WDF 1.11, but after the next reboot, the device manager still "sees" my Intel onboard USB 3.0 connection as USB 2.0 (EHCI). (I think it's PCI VEN=8086, DEV = 1E26). Win 7 has no problem here whatsoever to detect this USB root hubs as XHCI (USB 3.0)

any idea how to proceed from here ?

    kind regards

@Maxx (from Austria) You have to follow a different procedure to install the USB3 driver on your Ivy Bridge system. Here the link to download the drivers package:

Are those extra modified *.sys drivers? Or is it just the added *.inf settings that do the trick?

      @Maxx (from Austria)
The "Kernel-Mode Driver Framework 1.11" are already added in the "Patch Integrator" (wdf01011.inf).

Yes, I know ... Andalu's driver it's an EXTRA driver to seemingly "activate" the Intel Ivy Bridge "USB 3.0 Switch" of my Ivy Bridge (Z77, H77, C216) mainboard - and needs some PREREQUISITES

Now I have most of these PREQ. already installed (from your Integral Edition)
      KDF 1.11
USB 3.0 driver (from Win 8)

missing seem only this USB 3.0 switch driver (for Intel Mainboards - IVy Bridge, HAswell etc)
      and that "modded ACPI.SYS"

      best to you

@Ramsey The USB3 drivers in the package I reported are up to date at that time, so the ones in the Patch Integrator should work without problems. The only addition is the HCSwitch that is used when some systems (almost certainly a laptop) have USB ports that can function as USB2 and USB3 (as I think Maxx's system is, if I'm not mistaken).

If I remember correctly (it has been quite a while) the Patch Integrator was not enough to get USB3 function on my Haswell desktop system and it was necessary to apply some modifications to the system with the tools WPCredit and WPCrset.
