I need help. I am using Windows 7 and cannot use WinSetupFromUSB because the files in the ISO are way too long to extract. I tried YUMI (rufus and isotousb do not work) with zero results. The ISO's SATA driver does not seem to work in YUMI.

@Ramsey Okay, I have another problem. Attempting to install on a partition gives me a prompt that I must insert a floppy disk into drive A. This floppy disk is known as "DPMS F6 Installation Disk by Chenall & Steve 6375 (diskD)". How do I bypass this?

Do you still have problem with install?
Did you use Patch Integrator script? (I think Vanilla.ISO can only work in VM(Virtual Machine).
Which options did you select in Patch-Integrator?
Do you have desktop or laptop PC? (If you have laptop then probably only Dietmar can help you.)
Do you want to install on NVME or SATA SSD?
Maybe we can prepare ISO for your PC hardware, if you give more details..
What is your MB(motherboard) full model number (or chipset) and CPU and GPU?
I suggest installing from SSD on SATA-AHCI port as first try, if possible, because is fastest and you don't need any USB support, (from SATA-to-NVME or from SATA_2-to-SATA_1). (Second try USB, third try CD-rom.)  (RUFUS-prepared SATA-SSD on other PC(Windows-10-64), with USB-to-SATA converter, works OK for me.)  (I didn't try WinSetupFromUSB yet.)

How can I extract these files without issues on Windows 7? Extracting them results in many files being unable to be extracted due to file name lengths or destination lengths being too long.

@Ramsey Hello, thank you for the quick response! It now continues on VirtualBox. But, I wonder why it doesn't work on VMWare. Thank you! (UPDATE: Oof, turns out I had to do a little bit of waiting on VMWare. Thank you for the suggestion though!)

@Skylander Skywalker If you have no problems with VirtualBox then you have to aks in the VMWare forum why this doesn't work with their Software.

    Hello Ramsey,
I am trying to install WinXP-IE on a SATA SSD from a USB and I am able to complete the Text mode of the Setup without issue, however when I attempt to launch the Graphical part via Grubdos or booting directly to the SSD, The installer says it requires the "asms" file from WinXP Service Pack 3 and asks for a path to it.

@Symbiotic Update: I was able to solve my problem, but now I receive a BSOD Stop Code 0x7B whenever I try to boot into XP. It shows the WinXP load screen for a moment, then crashes.

      infuscomus · 7 months ago
      @Symbiotic
ASMS is in the i386 folder of the XP installation media, so you're attempted XP install lost track of the install media (lack of USB 3.0 drivers most likely)

You'll need to run XP install again, this time make sure to use the optional patch integrator to properly integrate USB 3.0 drivers for installation.

Hi..I want to ask...I have a 5TB external drive and is it possible to connect USB to Windows XP? Is there a patch? Or just the internal drive? Thank you..
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 7 months ago
@Lucas Windows XP 32-bit has a 2TB partition limit. What you can do is, re-format your Hard Disk into MBR with 2x2TB partition and 1x1TB partition. Or buy an older Hard Disk that supports "512 Byte Emulation" (512e).

Hi Ramsey, I have a few questions about using  this WinXp Integral Edition...
First:,   is the Outlook Express 6 standalone, or does it require IE8 (or IE6) to work?
Second:, does Outlook Express 6 have it's  default Address Book, or is that what you removed?
Third:.how is the PAE patch activated, and are there any driver issues(especially printers) when it's activated.  And is it easy to un-activate  it.
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 7 months ago
@jbclem It needs IE6 and has Address Book included. You can test everything in a VirtualBox.

Ramsey! Thank you again..... got a DELL Wyse thin client 909543-11L and it originally came with XP preinstalled but was setup for commercial use. I was able to reinstall your copy and the system works great! Thank you again! the specs are a AMD Sempron 1.5Ghz processor, 2GB DDR2 memory and a 2GB IDE SSD. hopefully, I'll be able to upgrade the memory to 4GB and get the Sata cables to use newer SSD's, but in the meantime, I'm buying a 44 pin IDE cable to be able to use older 2.5" IDE drives...
    Pictures pending!
